I can visualise a tumbleweed blowing through OT.

If the year hadn't turned out the way it has, I would have had one or two SG work visits there by now.

I reckon the current situation has a long long way to play out before anything that might resemble normality returns.

I feel you on that. I had one trip back at the end of Jan and when I got back the whole world imploded down there. I had planned on having made at least 3 trips there this year. One thing I can say, I've saved some extra "Me" money so whenever I go down again I may try for a Brix price without the negotiating.

The P4P scene has dwindled to almost nothing. Not surprising. 95% of the providers are imports from Vietnam or China or Indonesia or the Philippines. With the borders shut and girls visas run out the FL scene has mostly disappeared. The legal scene is shut down at Geylang. There are a few MPs open where happy endings and occasionally more can be had, but from over the hill Chinese MILFs who live here permanently. There is still opportunity with the maids but no more tea dances so contacts have to be made online. There are local SG girls but at 350-500+ per shot its too much GPS for me. Until borders open again, I don't see thing changing here. Luckily my GF keeps me more than satisfied so I don't miss it as much as I might.

Assuming this was the same well-known forum I am thinking of, this is more a reflection of that forum's members than the greater populace of Singapore. That forum is really very 'clubby' and groupthink, many of them are young blokes who not only have tickets on themselves but are completely up themselves.

No Flyboy, its not that filthy reputation point-based forum, I know that posting there for non-Singaporeans is lowkey not welcomed and quite frankly not worth it,.

The forum I'm talking about is a general forum- hwz, I consulted an online friend based in sg and he told me that Singaporeans are culturally known for being the ultimate keyboard warriors and rarely actually confrontational in real life. And that the hate comes from a deep envy towards any ethnic group that is highly paid in SG. White-collar workers, due to the utterly competitive market nature. And several other reasons.

I'll be visiting soon nonetheless.

I tried to post in a well-known. Sg forum and probably because of my well-written English everybody assumed I'm a foreigner / ang mo, and the amount of hate and trash talk I received was shocking, every insult & racial slur you can ever say to a Caucasian was on there, it actually made me think of avoiding my upcoming trip that I was planning when things return to normal, I'm a thick skinned dude its hard to get under my skin but wow I'm still stunned by this? Anybody got a clue why they hate whites to that extent? Too bad its a beautiful country! This city-state is basically Heaven on Earth!

I had similar experience 5 years ago. They take pleasure as nothing can happen to them. I am Indian American from Chicago and find it unacceptable. Please note Chinese Providers will say no Indians. I suspect due to very poor behavior of my Countrymen from India.

LOL, so true. How restrictive is it? Can't leave the room, or can people use the hotel facilities, such as exercise room and pool? If this is Sing $ and if the hotel is at least 4 stars, which they are supposed to be for mandated quarantines, then it really is a bargain.

Quarantine in Singapore is VERY restrictive. You cannot leave your Hotel Room. Food is left outside your door.
No idea if it they are using 4 or 3 star Hotels or vacant HDB Flats.

Check Facebook. A friend mentioned there is a Group on FB where expats/foreign visitors are sharing their quarantine "experience".

In Singapore, Phase 2 starts today. However, bars, night clubs will still be closed. No idea when they will be allowed to open.The Government tracks and publishes the Virus statistics on a daily basis. If things stay under control for next few weeks, the bars will be allowed to open.

Your post does not say which country you will be flying from? If your country is not on the "approved" or "green corridor" list you will:
Be quarantined for 14 days and required to take a Covid-19 test. You will have to pay $2000 for the pleasure of being quarantined.

Thanks for the updates. I would be flying in from Japan so I'm not sure what type of agreements will be in place between the two countries then. Will keep my eyes out for any new details.
