I think I stayed pretty calm while she got aggro. I just don't like people who break their words. By allowing it, it would just further support that kind of behaviour and make others suffer. If she can't do it till 3pm, then I would have gone elsewhere. If she held her side of the agreement, given that she was mostly sweet up to that point, I was all set to give her a tip on top.

It was definitely not a communication issue. Her English was very good in comparison to some others. The 3pm agreement was very clear (related to hotel check out time and my departing flight) as we sat there in Ipanema. Throughout the ordeal, there were nothing to suggest why she suddenly took a personality switch, although I suspect it might have something to do with one of the phone call or SMS she received in late morning.

I think you are right about the Filipinas, their attitudes seemed to be better. I did not play dumb or threaten her with external forces, but just stated that she did not fullfill her part of the agreement.

Don't know about the handjob in front being offensive, but if she agreed to stay till 3PM, you did the right thing by reducing what you paid her IMHO. It is common that many of the girls at OT will say they'll stay with you LT, but after a round or two, they want to go off for some more $$$. LT from them will be hit or miss.
