OK so I went and tried to hit up Yeongdeungpo and it was a bust. I think I went to the wrong place. After arriving at the station, I exited out of 6. I then headed to my right. It lead to a more deserted area. I was then pulled in to the left by a mama and taken down a few alleyways. I went to the second floor and I stupidly gave the mama 100 k. And waited for a girl. Holy shit did I EF things up by doing that. I should have known better. In case you don't know. Don't pay unless you see the goods. I repeat, don't pay unless you see the goods. A woman in at least her 60's came up to service me. She was also on the fatter side. I was not going to pay for this, so after insisting to get my money back they brought another woman. Just as old as the first. They looked like mamas not providers. Things got a bit dicey as I insisted I get my money back. I only know a handful of Korean which didn't help much. After much demanding in broken Korean and some angry Mandarin, I finally got my money back. As a side not I had told the mama that I was Taiwanese. Americans are usually frowned upon. She thought I was Japanese. So then I get the hell out of dodge. And wandered the area looking for some windows. I never found them, but I found a ton of love hotels. And even more norebangs. It helps that I can read a little.

So please learn from my experience and don't ever pay first until you see the goods. Also stay away from exit 6. Also research better first and if you're from the states use T-Mobile as you can roam free. I didn't have internet access on the trip thus the larger chance of messing up.

By the time I left I had spent around 2 hours in the area including the time it took to get my money back. Which I would say was Not an easy task.

Another note, try and travel with a buddy, because shit almost got real out there and it pays to have someone who has your back. I was constantly looking around to see if muscle was coming. Something close to this happened in HK.

Ending the story, I got back to my room and internet and read I went to the wrong exit. I should have headed to times square and Marriott. Which I think I did end up doing in my wanderings, but I was unable to find any windows.

Learn from my mistake and Stay safe out there brothers.

You got it right, never pay until you've seen the girl and her ass stays put while you pay the mamasan. Korea can be confusing so always do your homework and don't try to memorize directions or subway exits. I used to write everything down so I knew exactly where to go. Be warned, the quality in suwon is far less than what you'the get in Cheonho or in any other Seoul RLD for that matter, and their attitudes are just as bad too. If you don't look East Asian, forget A-Row girls for the most part.

Be and see row are full of the dregs, and I mean that in the most sincere form of the word. If you're lucky, you'll find a decent looking girl there or even a rare gem if your stars align. Sometimes I just go there for a late night stroll to see what I'm not missing. And I'm grateful I ain't missing much!

Note that be and see row girls (more like grannies and fatties, or both) are also picky these days because of the deluge of south and south East Asian customers they get. I'm actually happy for these women, they need to eat too after all, just not on my dime.

Suwon must have seriously changed in the past 15 years. In 2004, there were lots of hotties. Granted, most in A-row wouldn't touch a foreigner but I'd go at off peak hours and snag a few. Weren't really any fatties or fuglies back then. Guess with the ever-increasing wealth in the country, even the A-row girls will be has-beens. Korea is no longer a mongering destination.

Thanks RainMania, I appreciate the information! I'm East Asian and have never had any issues at the various Seoul RLDs. I thought a change in scenery might be nice, but based on your feedback, I'll stick with the Seoul RLDs since I can only make it down to Suwon on a Tuesday. Much appreciated!
