Anyway, the situation in Seoul has changed somewhat since the time before the pandemic and has changed again since the early days of the pandemic.

Since late 2020, I've returned to my all my regular places and managed to find a few new ones. I've detailed my experiences below.

Cheonho RLD closed for good. The area was torn down to make way for a large apartment complex. Right before the area was demolished, during the final process of evicting the last of the brothels, a fire broke out in the area. Unfortunately, a few women died. The blame for the fire was placed on an old charcoal heater being used in one of the buildings..

The only way I know how to go to a room salon is to call them and make a reservation. So you're going to need to know a bit of Korean. You can find quite a few on those officetel websites. You choose a girl and go to a noraebang room. They'll provide you snacks and a bunch of alcohol that you won't be able to finish. It's 1 hour in the room and then 45 min for fun time.

It's a flat rate of 240,000 won, but may charge you more if you're a foreigner. During the time, they constantly bring you more snacks and alcohol even though you don't need it. They expect you to tip 10,000 every time, so probably an extra 60,000.

The great thing is that you get to choose the girl from a 2 way mirror. You can see them, but they can't see you. Maybe 5-10 girls. Might have to wait longer for more girls to come if there is none you like. I got a smoking hot girl when I went.

Service wise, they start you off with a 20 second BJ at the start and end of the noraebang room. You talk, sing, drink, and eat during that time. I was hoping some of you can help answer some general room salon questions for me. I have basic knowledge but never been to one as it's not really a solo adventure. I know Korean Chinese mentioned a meet up to go to one.

How do you find them? I've seen some places around Gangnam that I assume are room salons but I can't tell for sure if they are or not.

MVP VIP Massage in Gangnam used to be a fairly reliable location. The women working there tended to be older, but they were fit and gave a good massage before moving on to full service. Overall, there were more hits than misses, and some girls even offered uncovered service. Recently, however, service at MVP VIP declined. The usual front desk guy, who I presumed was the owner or manager, changed sometime in 2021. When he left the quality of the women dropped. I visited twice in 2021 and both times the women were large, unattractive, unfriendly, and annoyed. I won't be going back. Let me know if you've had better experiences lately. Maybe I was just unlucky.

Miari RLD has generally remained unchanged. My usual said that there are far fewer customers these days. As a result there seems to be fewer women as well. There aren't drastically fewer women, but it is noticeable nonetheless.

If you go to Miari, be prepared to look into at least a few different doors. Also, keep in mind that some of the women look relatively thin and busty sitting down, but flabby and flat chested naked. Some of the older ladies working outside will try to give you the worst of the bunch unless you're a picky customer. The more they promise good service, the faster you should run away. And if you don't like what you see. And they promise that there are more girls inside, they aren't lying, but the other girls won't be any better. Just keep walking. On a Sunday afternoon not too long ago, one of the older ladies who I have good rapport with told me point blank "there aren't many women and none of them are pretty today". Saturday is much better than Sunday, and the evenings are better than the mornings and afternoons.

If you can establish a relationship as a good customer at Miari, you will undoubtedly get better service. Also, if there is anything that you specifically want, ask first. Ask before stepping inside. Also double check that older lady and the woman who will provide the service both know what is expected. From my experience, it is possible to get uncovered full service from quite a few women, but certainly not all of them. Deep french kissing is also on the menu, but it has gotten harder to get since the pandemic. A few years ago, I even got anal at no extra charge. On that day I think I just got lucky as I haven't gotten any since. It was my third time with the same provider and she was suddenly happy to offer me anal. However, if anal is your thing, don't ask the older ladies whether their girls do it. Even the provider who gave it to me told me not to tell the older ladies. You can also check out aspot11 and yamap7 without registering, but they have a smaller selection. However, if you can't register because your Korean language skills aren't good enough, you won't be able to use the service anyway. Even if you can register, you will still have to communicate with management through text and / or phone call. Some establishments only allow calls, others will allow details to be hashed out over text, but still require that you call to receive the room number after arriving at the officetel. Some will even want you to send a picture of your business card to confirm that you're a real person in Korea. They probably also want your information on file as a means of protecting the women. If this spooks you, you're free not to use their services.

Hyugetels are officetels, but they are generally staffed by Thai ladies. Most Hyugetels won't accept foreigners at all. Therefore, it is important to be as straightforward as possible. I always tell management that I'm not Korean when I make inquiries. Plenty of these messages have been ignored. Sometimes management politely tells me that their women are for Koreans only. This isn't due to xenophobia as many posters assume. After all, most women working at Hyugetels are from Thailand. It is generally the women's preference not to accept non-Koreans. These women don't want to be with western guys because they are 1) afraid of long dicks and / or 2) assume that western men will jackhammer them. By the way, this is not my assumption, this is what a handful of women have told me. In addition, I've even been asked by management how long my dick is before being offered the women who are willing to accept. The first time I was asked, I was caught off guard and had to check that I had heard correctly.

Because not every woman at a Hyugetel will agree to be with a foreigner, I have never been allowed to pick from the whole menu. For instance, if they advertise five women, I might be offered one or at most two of the five. There is no recourse in these situations. I don't believe there are any ombudsmen who will get involved in these business, so it's a take it or leave it kind of deal.

From my experience, there is more than one Hyugetel in Seoul that accepts foreigners. However, I don't believe they accepted me with open arms. I think their mentality was "OK, we'll give you a shot, but don't fuck this up". This was never stated outright, but I'm certain that there is a lot of hassle in taking on a new foreign customer. There are rules on their advertisements and they want to make sure that their customers understand. There's also cultural etiquette that they worry westerners won't understand. Therefore, you may not be provided access to the same Hyugetels that I have been.

If you intend to contact some of the advertisers, be polite and understanding. If you piss off one manager. Or worse, if you piss off one of the girls after they let you in, you will be blacklisted. Also keep in mind that although there are many advertisements, there aren't that many "businesses". A lot of them are the same place with a different mobile phone number. And a lot of them share a pool of talented woman. If you follow the advertisements long enough, you will notice a woman pop up in another part of the city.

I'm afraid I won't reveal which "businesses" have accepted me as I'm fairly certain I was only allowed because I was polite and persistent, and I don't want to blow up their business and likewise potentially ruin my enjoyment. However, where there is a will, there is a way. Good luck out there.

There is no real protocol aside from what you mentioned. You pay, go brush your teeth, then the front desk guy will show you to your room. If you know who you want, you can make a request. You can ask for specific types but usually they just send whoever is available to your room.

In the room, it depends a lot on the girl. Some girls are kind of straight to business and will tell you their menu and prices. Personally, I prefer the ones who at least try to establish a rapport as they're usually more service oriented. They'll usually chit chat and you can kiss and touch and how much and how far you can go is up to the girl. Almost always they'll ask if you want extra service as that's how they make their money. Prices seem to vary and I feel like I've paid more than what I've seen others say they pay for in forums. I've been quoted pretty standard by multiple girls 50 for HJ and if they offer BJ it's 100. Are you in Korea now? I used to tell these private services my pseudonym when I tried contacting these places. I would tell them I am cnetronobl and I needed an inquiry if foreigners were allowed, but they always said no. Times have changed due to COVID, so it's possible there aren't any places that allow foreigners anymore except in Itaewon. But the Itaewon ladies are quite old and unattractive, plus they are fat and / or riddled with plastic surgeries. It's hard to find a young, attractive lady in Itaewon now.
