Tired, just flew in to Seoul. Can anyone recommend a good anma in the area? Are coffee shop girls still around? That's where they come to your room right? If anyone would like to recommend one.

Room salons are anmas? Sorry, if I sound nebbish.

A room salon is an older term but generally refers to a place where a group of guys go to be drink and be merry, sit on the floor around a table with possibly a karaoke machine playing music, be joined by sexy hostess girls who pour their drinks, feed them snacks, talk and allow some fondling. Other room salons go a step further and offer sex for additional coin. Room salons are usually mildly expensive to extremely expensive. An anma, on the other hand, is basically a massage parlor and cheaper overall. Some are staffed by blinds masseurs and masseuses (the government "sponsors" them by allowing them to do this as a means of supporting themselves) , very legit and all you get is a massage. In others you can first get a legit massage by a blind masseuse / masseur, then offered sex by a normal girl. In still others, a normal girl will give both the massage and sex but expect the massage to be cursory at best. Prices increase with each type I described. There are newer variances in all of these but the basics apply. Enjoy the ride.

I went about 7 PM. 6–7 PM is opening hours, more girls may be available to choose from. It works till about 5 AM.

Today my Korean friend took me to one room club in Seolleung area. To say short, it is awesome and worth your money.

You are shown several girls to choose from, if you don't like, you can ask to see more. I got about 10 girls to choose in first round and was still curious to see more, but for second round just three new. Went for one out of first ten. I cannot say that all girls were great by looks, but 3–4 were. Better to go early, selection is better.

Service provided: Start with 1 hour of "karaoke" with the chosen girl and drinks / snacks (good whiskey, cheap beer, some fruits and stuff) , while then girl only kisses and sucks you a bit, nothing above that. I was told by my friend before that you may finish twice in there, but it didn't seem to be the case or maybe my girl wasn't really into BJ. Girl was 22 why. O, spoke very little English, but was really nice with her attitude. Something like what you can get in Thailand, but here with much better girl. After this talking / kissing / sucking part you are brought to the hotel room upstairs and have 1 hour for FS.

Summary:

Girl's looks – 9 (maybe 10 for face. 9 for body)

Attitude – 9, certain GFE (perhaps it would have been 10, if I knew at least some Korean)

YMMV is so true, especially in this case. Here we have each one of us pointing out the merits of our choices (which, honestly neither are bad choices, just different strokes for different folks) , when it's painfully obvious we've both patronized similar establishments (minus me going to the hill) and have found what we like. It sounds like you haven't had good experiences in the An-mas while I have. I also haven't had a "mechanical poke" as you call it in the RLDs.

That's why I'm glad this place is here, so we can share experiences and let people base their decisions off of that.

I think this convo could go much deeper into what we SHOULD pay vs what we DO pay for certain services, but overall I feel that this has run it's course.

I haven't had any bad experieces in anmas, or room salons for that matter (I speak reasonably good Korean) , I've just had much better ones with a select number of girls over the years on the Hill with whom I've been able to develop "relationships" (rolls eyes) that, in crude terms, translates into more bang for the buck and generally more satisfying sessions.

There is no such thing as a "should pay" price, except 0 of course.

Roger that! I have no interest in spending an hour in an RLD.

Either. Or 20 minutes for a more or less mechanical poke. Or a longer time in an anma for the same plus a meh rubdown. I'd rather spend 60-90 minutes of pleasure with a quality girl who provides even just a semblance of GFE / PSE. Admittedly, this is hard to find anywhere, but I've had good luck in the ville avoiding the barracuda tanks and finding what I like. Then if I want a proper sauna / massage I can just head off to a jjimjilbang. If others want to take advantage of my recommendations or not, that's up to them, especially considering the iron law of YMMV.

To each his own.
