Went out looking for action on the hill last night, and based on intel from a fellow hobbyist on ISG I had some specific targets. Had some drinks at debut, then wandered around to check out some of the options. Ended up at Texas with Nana. Very nice experience. If you want to avoid the high and tight crowd and their baggage train (the latter civvie contractors being far and away more troublesome) , just don't go on Friday or Saturday nights, especially at the end of the month (payday). Someone on here can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this Day Club you are referring to is a tranny bar, maybe some sort of tranny show club or norebang? You ask a lot of, umm, silly questions about the Itaewon scene, but you seem to be a good contributor so I'll just tell you what a do, as a 30 year old round eye. First of all, just ignore the young millitary dudes. Actually, I would avoid them all together by either mongering in the early evening (5-8pm) or, my preferred time range, which would be 3-5am.

Also, I would avoid buying drinks for the girls and just get down to negotiations, but you may be more of a romantic than I am, so do whatever makes you comfortable. But it's not mandatory to buy a drink on the Hill.

Personally, I don't understand why any Korean guys, Western born or not, would waste their time around Hooker Hill (or even in Itaewon, for that matter) but if you want girls that speak English, I guess that's one of the few places to go for that.

Protests in Korea are not illegal. Protesting here is a national sport; every week in the summer there's something being protested in Kwanghwamun. Nothing for LE to break up as long as everyone there is peaceful.

This is not the first protest by pimps and hos. Probably more like the 6th or 7th. They've been going on for the last few years, ever since the (then) new Police Chief decided to close all the RLDs. Six (seven?) years on, and they're still there (although smaller).

No impact on mongering aside from the fact that RLDs have gotten smaller (and working girls moving to officetels or the Internet). Doesn't really matter to me anyway as I never go to the RLDs aside from the one time I went to Miari pre-crackdown. Not my thing.

i've only been to yongsan (when it was open) and yeungdeungpo rld. the a-row girls there are definitely comparable to the hotter girls in itaewon but again there were not as pretty girls too. it would be like if the a row and b row girls were all on a small street. actually the funniest moment was when one drunk old korean man stopped walking suddenly and started to say something along the lines of "daaaaaaammmmmmmnnnn! that's fucking hot" in korean. i walked to see what he was peering at and it was a bombshell in a polkerface dress that made my jaw drop. again i know that it is common knowledge that there are bottom feeders in itaewon which you would never see in a a-row at a rld, but i felt there was enough eye candy for even most guys.
