I use Google translate and type " Do you except white American foreigners" and copy, past the Korean words in the text. I keep using Google translate to ask the location if they say yes. Sometimes they will answer back in English. Just use Google translate ask whatever you need to know. I've also sent a mass text out to about 15 places at once, go's faster that way. I've about a 50/50 yes, no response and the ones that said yes has been a good cheap experience so far. Been to about 5 or 6 places from opstar.

Got any recommendations from those 5 or 6 places on opstar?

Recently found out about the website OPstar and stuff. First is it a reliable website or would someone recommend a different one?

If it works, anyone know how a "foreigner" would go about it? I technically don't look "foreign" though because I am Korean so that might help, just I was raised in the States so I'm not fluent enough. I think they call it being a "gyopo", but besides the point.

Assuming I can't ask in Korean, do I just have to call these businesses through phone and ask in English "do you take foreigners?" and hope someone says yes and then discuss further from there? Or is there some trick or easy way to do this. Doesn't seem like a lot of the OPStar listings have Kakao ID's.

I appreciate your response, I've been a bit wary because I just finished a quick trip to Seoul but already had way more people try to scam or sweet talk me into paying more than I had to or try the bait and switch, I'the rather a safer and less hassle. I went to an anma in Daegu a few months ago and it was simple in and out and hoping on my next trip, an Opi won't require haggling or something silly.

Do you remember the name of the place in Daegu you went to and also can you tell me what's near it.

Hyugetels and Opis are pretty good with delivering good looking women. Hyugetels will be more full of thai women, and opis will be more difficult to get in. The pics on the websites are almost never real, but I have never had a "grandma" at a hyugetel.

If you get someone not up to your standards, you can ask for a change. The front guys are usually pretty cool and they likely won't screw you over.

There was some sites mentioned in a previous post not too long ago. Go there, look for "Lip Cafe" in Gangnam and call them up when you are here. If its anything like Officetel's you will need to make 2 calls - 1 to setup the appointment, 1 after you get to the location. You may or may not get a response -- not sure since I don't go to LC's and don't know if they screen. The site will usually have some prices and times listed.
