I'll post if I have any luck. I speak fluent Korean, so communication isn't the issue, but every time I've inquired at extras the front, I've always been told no. My problem with asking the masseur directly is that by that time I've already paid and while sometimes I do enjoy just a massage, I'd rather spend when I know what I'm getting for sure.

Two options: you try to negotiate up front at the desk. When you pay, say the word "mah-moo-ri" and give a meaningful look or a handjob motion, and see how the reception person reacts. Two, you ask the girl in the room at the start when she enters the room before you lie down to get the massage, or at the end of the massage before she leaves. The easiest way is to hold up a number of fingers for how many ten thousand won bills you are offering. I think the minimum standard is three, so hold up 3 fingers, and see if she bites.

1 if it is in a basement, they most likely offer services, this is for most massage places not just Thai.

2. Just ask, sometimes you can tell by the look of the place, sometimes you can't. Don't be afraid to just ask but be nice about it. I usually ask the girl after the flip in the massage but you can ask the desk before you even pay or walk in sometimes.

- I am usually happy with just a massage and the happy ending is just a bonus where if I don't get it, I am fine.

Side note: Anmas are different. It literally translates to massage, but it's more like a Japanese soapland. These 100% offer full service. It is in a sense a massage, albeit very light touching LOL.

I checked out a bunch of places near Hapjeong a few weeks ago and all seemed to be offering the same thing. Average looking older woman, varying degrees of "massage" and FS for 100 k. I'm more of a 80 k for an actual massage w / HJ kind of guy, so I was disappointed. If that's what you're looking for, there's a lot of options in a block or 2 radius though. I've got a pretty good go-to spot in a nearby area, but the thrill of the hunt is hard to ignore. Interested in how / if those who don't speak korean are able to navigate these places? 50% of the time it feels like they're about to turn me away before they realize there's no language barrier.

Had a bad experience with Mikaela's agency who are advertising on MR. Provider arrived and was totally stressed out and hyperventilating. No touching at all, totally glacial in attitude. Does anyone know of any good barber shop / massage parlors with older women? I prefer going to these types of places but a lot of the time they can be hit or miss.

Here's one place to avoid: in the basement of the Doosan Pavillion building in Jongno. The building houses 2 embassies above. The sports massage place in the basement is run by a couple of older ladies. Not unattractive and fit for their age, but the experience was mechanical. 80 k for a one hour massage including HJ ending. But the HJ was so uninspiring that Mr Happy couldn't even stand at attention. She didn't even pull her top down or up, and there was no sign given that touching would be welcome.
