This reminds me of the RLD in Yokohama. Very similar set up. There is only one lady per doorway, and you usually negotiate before she lets you inside and shuts the door after you. There is a tiny bar with one or two stools, but you don't get a chance to sit down. She immediately takes you to the back and up the stairs to a small bed room for the deed.

This also seems similar to the Itaewon Hooker Hill in Seoul. Granted it's more obvious up there. Maybe it's a form of the coffee shops with service?

Let me offer my little bit of insight, for what it may be worth. Any seasoned punters out there with a better understanding of things, go right ahead and correct me.

The kind of bar you're describing here might very losing be called a "hanky-panky joint."

I had a similar experience or two up in Seoul a couple of years ago.

The neighborhood I was living in (specifically, Ahyeon dong), has a smallish RLD, near the subway station, which appeared to being servicing Koreans only. I semi-tested it out on a Friday night or two by slowly pacing up and down the street several times, only to find myself being studiously ignored by the gals in the pink-lit windows each and EVERY time. It's impossible that my trolling up and down the sidewalk and looking right in their direction wasn't noticed. The lack of eye contact alone told me that I wasn't welcome. (That's just how it is here in Korea, for better or for worse. I'm blond with blue eyes, as it happens, and not bad looking if not not exactly God's gift to women, if I can believe what I'm told.)

As with every Korean RLD, though, there's the "main drag," where the women will ignore you, and the back alleys, where you might just find yourself invited in.

The back alleys of the Ahyeon RLD, such as it was (again, this was a couple of years ago, in pre-crackdown days), had a small number of what looked like bars. How to describe these places? They were in fact bars, ie, places that served alcoholic drinks at a markup, but with hostesses out front, on the street, trolling for male customers.

Once inside (having been hailed on the street and dragged in by a not unattractive youngish woman), I was quoted some sort of absurd price.

It was something in the neighborhood of 30,000 for a beer, as I recall, or about 30 USD. Just as you experienced in Daegu.

What followed was half wonderful, half awful.

Beer and snacks where brought into the small private room, curtained off, where my hostess quickly proceeded to put her arm round me, carress me, drop her top, and let me suck her nipples.

We made lovey-dovey small talk in her native and my horrible Korean.

Thirty odd minutes later, some sort of time limit seemed to have been tripped. She was suddenly all business, pulling up her top, getting me into my coat (it was winter), and hustling me out the door.

I arrived home with a huge unsatisfied erection. The memory of those perfect tits, the tender cuddling, and so forth, was blissful. Still, I'd spent a fair bit of money for nothing to show for it, ultimately, but a few iffy memories and a night of sexual frustration.

Call it a cock-tease bar, if you will.

Again, I'm no expert, but to my discernment that appears to be what you stumbled across in Daegu.

Of course you could always yank the monkey afterwards: he'll be rearing to go, after a bit of cock-teasing hanky panky in a place like this.

I'd prefer the full-on, no nonsense deal, ie, sex for money. But that's precisely what South Korea is now in the midst of illegalizing, in a seemingly quite serious way (complete with foreign punters being arrested and deported after having been "caught" in the RLD's), and so the whole pay-for-play scene has just degenerated into something too awful for words.

Anyone considering a sex holiday in South Korea had better forget it, unless loaded with thousands of dollars for the room salons. For those of us caught living and working here, if without a wife or GF, sex is either highly risky, highly expensive, or something to be had while on vacation to Bangkok.

At least that's how things are looking to me, but God knows I'd love to be proved to wrong. Anyone out there know of any places in SK where the police are turning a blind eye to goings-on?

Again, they were LITTLE area's with a seating area. So, I thought I would give it a try and get a beer. Well, two of the 'bars' wouldn't let me in and since I don't know much Korean yet, I'm wasn't sure why? So, I figure 'third time's the charm' and tried another before heading home. Anyway, a woman greeted me and let me come in. I was relieved because I was ready to pound some more beers in me ASAP .

But, THIS is where it got REALLY suspious. It was two girls there, both a little older, but fine. I asked them how much the beer was and they said about 30,000 won (roughly $30!!!). Now, I was pretty confused to say the least and was respondent enough with my small amout of Korean to know that WAS the price. I kept repeating it in Korean and they looked at each other thinking, "How can we explain this?" . So, just because I didn't want to pay $30 for a couple of beers, I decided to leave. Thank them kindly, apologized that I just didn't have the money and left. But now I'm REALLY curious lol. It was obvious it was some kind of shop for 'men only', but I just couldn't figure it out? All the places were on the same street, had one or two women there, a few seats and a back room. I DON'T think that back room was for you-know-what as it looked like they were living there. Plus, there were TWO of them, so I can't imagine it would be used in that way.

Anyway, I'm curious as hell now and actually thinking about going back. Just suck it down, pay the $30 and just see what happens. If nothing, I can chalk it up to an experience and at least got some REALLY expensive beers out of it . If something, I'll write a report here for everyone .

Went by this RLD in Deagu, the lights were off and the girls were there but so were the COPS. Mamasan came out and said sorry, can't service Miguk because of the police, just too risky to take a chance anyway.

Need an advance degree to figure out this crackdown stuff over here. Interesting to see what will happen in 2007 when all the RLDs are suppose to be closed down.

Can't see how the $30.00 would be for the beer only, but who knows. Stick with your thinking and take your own advice of going back down and finding out for yourself and post your findings. It will be a great addition to this otherwise dead thread.

I found a 6 pole BBS on the west side of Daegu, that gives similar treatment (one could almost say it's better) to the anma's. The cost is only 80,000 for massage, BBBJ, and FS. Sometimes, you even get GFE.

As I said, the place is on the west side of town. Driving on route 28, going west toward the Seo Daegu IC (intersection of route 28 and Hi-way 451), the place is on the left side of the street, about a block or so before the IC.

I have been to the place a couple of times now, and would recommend trying it before spending up to 200,000 at an anma. The service is a lot better than you get for 50,000 by Daegu Station.

If you're looking for a nice cheap hotel in town, both the Zen and Chairman Motels near Deagu station are great chioces. They charge 30,000W for short time and if you want to sleep overnight, its 40,000.00W. The extra large suite at the Zen Motel is 50,000W. The rooms are excellent and clean with a large screen TV with soft core Korean porn and all the amenities of a first class hotel, Actually Hamilton Hotel and Crown Hotel in Seoul have nothing on these motels. A room like this would cost 200,0000W easily in Seoul. Don't take the family there though and make no mistake, these are love ..err fuck motels but very classy and the ladies at the desk area that you can see only through a small window are very nice. They speak no english though, I knew those Korean classes would pay off one day.

At night some one places about a deck of cards full of beautiful young K girls with their phone numbers and pictures on the steps/entrance to the hotels. Can't recommend them all because I only tried one, the girl that showed up was not the girl on the picture (surprize) but she was still beautiful, and she travels with her pimp/john/bodyguard. The service was like the Anmas where the girls gives head with hot tea then cold water in her mouth, yes she can make you squirm by licking all over your body. However the time was only for 30 mins and the cost was $$W, but hey I didn't need the 30 mins, she held on tight but her moan was too mechanical. i have tried out the area across from the daegu station twice now. both times, i wandered down the street to try and find the best available. both times, i was propositioned by almost every girl (and the adjumas) standing at a corner. each time, i picked what i felt was the best looking girl available, and paid my 50,000. while they looked very nice, the sex was not all that great. there was absolutely no bj, no gfe, and only fake moaning. the second time i was there, the girl kept looking at her watch, and told me time was up after 15 minutes. seeing as how she was on her back, i figured i had the advantage and kept going until i was finished.

Finally took a stroll by the Deagu Station area as was described by other posters on this board. They were dead on in every respect, this place reminds me of the old days in TDC where the old Adjuma's would run out grab your arm and try to get you into their places. They offer you sex like they are selling fruits, man they are so bold they made me blush, and that's not easy to do. They all advertise Aashi's but the first three I saw were nothing special so I had to lilterally fight and pull my arm from Adjuma to get out of those hooches.

Finally found a young sweet girl way down on the end of the road by the Bank, Adjuma said she was 21, the girl said she was 26, but she was nice, about an 8, only downside, she did not give head and a tad bit stout, but she had a beautiful smile and spoke little konglish but knew the words "oh my God" very well.

Deagu Station (not to be confused with DongDeagu Station) has a fairly large Korean Street Walker population. I counted no less than 15 different girls pandering the streets, half which propositioned me as I walked through the area. Most of the KSW's were to the right as I came off the cross walk. Just walk that long strip back towards, but on the opposite of the street as Deagu Station.

The KSW I hooked up with was actually hanging around one of the dark side alleys off the main strip with another girl. It was around ten pm on a Wednesday night when I was in the area, but I'm sure the girls are out earlier. So go try your luck and post the experience here. I went through Osan City about a month ago on a bus on my way to party in Suwon City with some Chingos (friends) and noticed a lot of double pole BBS's. Didn't know they had a red light district in Taegu, but that's the name of it. You travel along the main drag in front of the lotte department store and the Taegu station. There are some hotels down to the left of Dongdaegu station.
