Seo-jeong-Ri, Pyeong'taek (about 10 minutes from Songt'an and Osan AB Main Gate).

What the heck happened to this area, alas perhaps I've been away too many years.

All my fave BBS's are long gone, (including one which not only had the double barber poles but bronzed plaque outside "Best and world famous massage and haircut") was well known to most USA military guys (Osan) in this area, of which I was once one. And all the "coffee shops" are long closed. The military has put all these types of places off-limits, so maybe that explains why business is slow. It helps if you speak some Korean.

does anyone know of the any anmas near ganseogogeori station are foreigner friendly? if you go out exit 5 and look left straight out of the exit, you'll see several large-ish buildings. the most prominent sign is for the davinci club, but if you look up, you'll see a tower with an 'anma' sign. there are more anma signs here and there on the side streets (as well as the draped driveways of love hotels and a few room salons). this is clearly some sort of rld but i don't know if any of it is foreigner-friendly or even worth the effort if it is. anyone have any experiences?

Unfortunately, I was never able to go to the Jeonju RLD. (I was helping out the sick relative in my last two visits to Jeonju.) In case anyone else wishes to try, I've attached a map. The blue circle indicates City Hall. (It faces the semicircle lawn with walk paths). The streets marked with red make up the RLD, I believe.

Also, I don't know if this was mentioned before, but there's a couple of videos of guys in a car going through the streets of the RLD. Do a search on "Jeonju RLD" in Youtube and you will find them (the videos are in two parts).

(Funny that when I found it, Naver blurred the booths.) Go to the back of City Hall (the front has this huge lawn with foot paths that is enclosed by a semi-circle) and go NW. You should find the RLD on the 1st. 2nd, and 3rd right. The coordinates of the 2nd right are 35. 825699, 127. 146974 (remove the spaces after the periods, if they appear).

I was curious about visiting Yong Ju Gol as I had heard about it several times, but never went there. Some posters on here mentioned "freak" or something to that effect. I drove over from Dongducheon, about a 45 min drive on Route 56 until you reach Beopwon-ri, follow 56 further south and before you get to Paju is the small community where it's located. It's pretty huge place, bigger than 588 and some windows have 7-8 girls working them. It's kind of intimidating, as clearly gangsters run the show. One person said "freak" and after going I realized why. Some girls had tattoos not only covering the whole back, but also the legs and front, like Chris Anderson of the Miami Heat. The one thing not mentioned is the fact that it is very foreigner UN-friendly, as in almost openly hostile to foreigners. There were about 4 girls out of 100 that would take foreigners, but even they were strongly encouraged not to do so. Bottom line- lots and lots of girls, most of them pretty, hardly any obliging to foreigners, wouldn't return there.

I'm new to this forum but have posted on others in Asia before, namely Japan. Was hoping to get a little help from my fellow browsers on what & if there was to to or have in the nearby areas of Pyeongtaek without a huge "risk". Visited websites and scrolled through the off-limits listing and it seems as if everything worth while that has been written about here is somewhere on that webpage. As you could probably have guessed by now I am one of those who wears the same outfit to work on a day to day basis so to anyone offering advice please keep that in consideration.
