Lawanya, my guess is that escort prices will NOT go down, for two reasons: (1) The number of foreign escorts coming here will decrease, thereby resulting in a decrease in supply. (2) The number of local escorts has already decreased as evidenced by the lesser number of ads on Lanka Ads.

The prices of escorts in Sri Lanka is too high as compared to average national earnings. When a high-mileage girl like Priya is demanding 7000 rupees per shot you can get an idea of this problem. If more genuine freelancers (as opposed to girls managed by pimps) begin advertising in Lanka Ads, prices might come down, but that is not going to happen in the near future. If the economy crashes (I hope that will not happen), more genuine freelancers might advertise.

Can you guys recommend a safe, good and reasonably priced location to book a room in or around Colombo s suburbs?

Basically to be used for mongering.

"Solid" chain is usually safe and cheap. Pretty basic facilities, but they provide clean towels and relatively clean bathrooms. Bedsheets aren't being changed for every new guest though.

I think "Relax in" chain is also of same standards.
