Will be doing a SL backpacking pretty soon. I am wondering how safe is Colombo and SL as a whole to tourists, for mongering. Reading the raid reports, it sounds scary. Appreciate some help on this so that I can plan accordingly.

Safety is a relative thing, but I would say that Sri Lanka is safer than some parts of India and Thailand. Late at night in Colombo may not be safe for a single female, but a male tourist should be fine, especially if you stick to the touristy areas of Colombo 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. Re. The raids, it is a power struggle between LE and MP owners, aimed at LE getting bigger kickbacks. It would be illegal for LE to arrest a customer, and this is not going to happen under the present government.

Very descriptive and interesting report. My experience there was quite similar, though I did not notice something like Pynol being sprayed on the waterproof sheet; guess it just slipped my attention.

The room is what they now call a studio apartment. Though tiny overall, it has a small purpose designed area for cooking and cleaning up, apart from an attached bathroom. I remember visiting another service provider in another similar room / apartment there some time back. I guess those rooms or studio apartments - whatever you would like to call them - are occupied for both innocent and not so innocent purposes. Was inclined to try this lady out but it took many calls to get connected finally. On the phone she told me of her services and the rate she charges. Made an appointment for the afternoon and called and got direction before leaving to destination. I was told to come up to the 1st floor and given a room number. Also was told that I needed to leave some proof of ID at the entrance.

The "place" is at the end of a by lane of a well known city in Col. It's adjoining to a place that deals with letting "Rooms".

Now I know some have described her pad as an apartment. But my take is different and this is just my personal view ONLY. To me its just a room situated on the 1st floor of a multi storied building. Parking is available. A guy dressed in white sarong & short asked me for my ID. He was polite but smelled of arrack. He also asked me room. Ekata neda? To which I simply nodded.

Went to the 1st floor and knocked on the door. The door opened and a lady dressed in a black dress and fair amount of make up opened the door. Long hair and in heeled shoes. My take on her age was closer to 50.

The room consisted of a double bed, small wooden table & chair, a sink, kettle. Attached toilet. No place to hand your cloths and probably not more than 10'x10'. No complains on the cleanliness of the room. I was asked for the fee upfront.

I was given a towel that has seen better days and told to was and come. The toilet was clean but with cold water only.

Came out and found that a firm plastic sheet had been laid on the bed. I was told to lay face down and she undressed and go on the bed. She has a fair tummy, small un-firm boobs.

She applied some kind of oil on back back and the front of her body and started her "Nuru" massage. Its was firm and I liked it.

There seemed to be no rush in massage which was pleasant but nothing to write home about. There seems to be quite a bit of oil and thus couldn't really feel her boobs. After sometime I was told to turn and she wiped her body and mine of the oil and proceeded to suck my nipples and touch junior and proceeded to a BBJ. She seemed turned on too and was fairly wet down there.

Didn't seem keen on different positions and I didn't press the matter. Finished the deed and proceeded to wash.

Special note: when I walked out after the wash I saw her cleaning the plastic sheet with a damp towel and spraying something that smelled like Pineol which was a real turn off. So there goes my high rating of hygiene out of the window.

When exiting there was a guy out side seated at a table with cash on table and my guess is he collects a commission from anyone who rents these rooms. I feel this is an extension of the premises that rents "rooms". I believe she is not working alone as I don't thing she capable of doing promotion on the internet of her services.

WIR: NO as I felt that fee for the services make it average.

This lengthy report is not to bore you but better equip one when taking the services of this lady.
