My god, that looks disgusting!. The floor and tub looks rife with bacterial diseases.

The laws are still the same, but it is now common practice for the courts / police to send any legal violations that a foreigner does to the Ministry of Labour. Before it only ended up there for high level incidents like drugs or the like, but for the last year or so they have been sending almost everything through. MOL has a very low tolerance and will cancel your work permit, regardless if you are willing to pay the fine.

Do not go to the tea shops. Tea shops are the ones directly off the main night market. As noted in post 167, you will be ripped off and leave angry / disgusted. The last few posts about last are about an area about a block or two away from the night market. The flats used are regular clean places and nothing like the photo in post 167. If at any time, someone is using high pressure tactic and physically pulling you into a shop, then it's probably a disgusting tea shop. Leave.

Many of them are scams. Their common goal is to extract the maximum amount of money you have. If you have 2000, they probably will tell you a package for 2000. If you only have 1000, they may give you the same package for 1000. You are at their mercy after you pay.

For the honest ones, the structure is similar to KTV but much cheaper. Girls will rotate in and out. You can't keep a specific girl unless you want to pay extra charge. I don't remember the numbers so I can't post it here, but it could be NTD 300/ HR for the room and the snacks.

Hmm, I had thought that Taiwan was pretty lenient with these rules. Sounds like you know people who have actually gotten deported for this? Genuinely curious, as I had always heard prostitution laws were not heavily enforced in Taiwan.

So I googled it. There is no law against a person paying for sex, but there are laws against selling, the maximum fine is 30 K, and maximum jail time is 3 days.

It is not new. That area has history. I have mentioned it in one of my posts here. There are several clusters, and different crews / countries operating at different time. You just need to walk around and observe, visit side alleys and alleys that are like tunnels. Later at night, like after 10 PM, you can see the girls line up on the street like merchandise with an old lady who does translation.

Several Taiwanese girls I have met seem to treat this like a day time job so their hours are like 11 am - 6 pm.

That's good to know, I was curious if this was night time only but if I can go visit during the day over the weekends that is awesome.

Depends on who you are, local or foreigner. Most of the time it's a fine of 1000-2000 NTD. But if you're a foreigner here with ARC / work permit they are now reporting you to the NIA which can also deport you.

People have been deported for being drunk on a bicycle, not even a scooter.

I was in the area, so I took a quick look and wow. You're right. I never knew about this particular section of LST before. There was some top quality there. I'd say the majority of the ones I saw tonight were 7/10 and up. I even saw a 10/10, but didn't partake cause I was just taking a quick scout before meeting friends for dinner.

I doubt you can find sex with young girls around LST. More of them works in tea shops which are horrible rip-offs.

The law depends on who you are, a local or foreigner. If a foreigner with a work permit they normally take you to the NIA for anything you got arrested or fined for, so you might be deported as well for not being a good citizen. People have been deported for driving a bicycle drunk.

If a local then it's normally around 1000-2000 ntd fine.

Last night there were at least 25 very attractive girls under 30 asking 1500. Tonight there was a heavy police presence and very few girls under 50. Maybe 4 or 5 attractive girls. Not sure what happened tonight.
