I think these are short term visitor and are dried out now due to Covid. The ones that can still come in now are all controlled by organized crime and stay long term. Their pay is withheld for control and they are sold or transferred like meat between crime organizations. The girls know why they are here, it is not like the news report telling people they are lied to to be in Taiwan for other jobs. My discomfort comes from that I know they may not get the money I paid them. Some organization force the girl to work when the girl already has injuries from too much sex so that was also bad.
