Much appreciated, thank you. If you guys need help on the Indonesia scene (that's where I excel due to intense travelling there), feel free to ask, will be happy to assist. Enjoy Sunday and happy mongering!

Carnegies is a bar with tables, DJs, small outdoor area and for years some girls get up (voluntarily) and dance on the very long bar "Coyote Ugly"-style. Just that the bar doesnt hire them. Sunday brunch is good and you get to see most of the sport events there too. It can also be a decent pick up place on a Wednesday night. Location: Ang He lu.

    First timer reporting in

Did I do it? You bet. I pulled together enough courage to walk the walk.

Of course. Thanks to you guys.

Ok here's the report for newbies like me.

This is just for asianworld, btw. I'm a fluent mandarin speaker so asking questions and getting answers was not really a problem for me instead of nodding away.

Instead of waiting for replies. I marched over and hit 15F on the elevator. When the door opened I was immediately put on the spot. I immediately shocked and scared. I gave the clueless look and some old guy in a suit assisted me in. He asked me. "are you here for a sauna? You can bath all day 12 hours for 600 taipei dollars you can even leave and come back". I was thinking in my head "no way! I didn't come here for that". So I asked what else you got. So he continued with services for xx (low amount) amount you get massage from a guy. For xx amount (. 2000? ) you get massage from a girl. Then I gave him the. "what else look". So he continued to the final item. Saying if you want to sleep with a girl there is a mamasan that will assist me for 4300.

So I went in through the sequence of steps.

    1. Undress, put my stuff away in locker.

    2. Shower, skipped the sauna (big sauna available. But I was not interested).

    3. Walk to find mama-san (btw, this place is pretty big and fairly clean, but from a first timer view).

    4. Mamasan takes me to a room, after promising the most beaitufl and youngest girl #30 or something.

    5. Wait in room. Girl shows up. Gives back massage. Turn you around gives front massage. Gives CBJ, then CG. Then asks me to take over the top. Then I blew early because its been awhile for me. (damn embarassing but she understood. Or didn't care because her job was done). She went to shower. Then asked me to shower. Then helped me robe up and left.

    6. I went to locker area. Dressed.

    7. Went back to lobby and they give you the bill.

    Anyone else had similar experience?

Oh. To add. Description of girl was. Decent face. Very pale. Probably 25-30 age. Sounds like she's been in this business for 2+ years. C+ boobs but felt a little 'stiff' if you know what I mean. Decent figure. She was wet before I even touched her so there must be some lube. Btw. All massage rooms are under dimmed lighting. So this is all I can describe. There's no way I can spot a mole on her leg or anything under this lighting.

Oh right. I asked for rules.

    1. Must use condom.

    2. No kissing.

    3. Its over when you come. Or time runs out.

More stuff I recall. I showed up around 2pm and there were 10 people in the facilities already. And I'm the 4th guy she's had today. There is big relaxation area with a bunch of geezers. Not really that old. I'm fairly young looking.

Question to veterans. Is there some way to choose the girl? Mamasan never gave me a choice and just threw me one after I told her its my first time.

Chinese is a good equalizer because it generally shows that you didn't just get off the boat.

However, this forum is perhaps an even better equalizer in that it allows you to know what to expect in terms of price, service and general mongering situation.

Ideally, Chinese and knowledge of what you are getting into should result in the best price but, in my opinion, knowing what you are able to learn from this forum and applying it would be even better than having good language ability but no idea what is happening.

I don't perceive that SC or any other area is particularly dangerous in terms of actual physical safety, aside from the possibility of local mongers hunting you down if you pay 2K up and make things harder for the rest of us.

Houziwang, i was commenting on the need for mandarin, not whether the tout thinks you are green or not, that i am not questioning, and happens in every country not just Taiwan.

Simple sign language for those who speak no mandarin still goes a very long way and in some cases is actually easier than trying to use mandarin where it is easy to get yourself into trouble verbally, but not so easy to get yourself out again.

    Wow, luck you

I must agree with Rag, I think it's a fair warning to foreigners with no command of Chinese language. I have personally saw many shags "sky rocket" the prices after they realized they can only speak English. And I have hang out in Taiwan long enough to get some *locals* to tell me how they ripped the foreigners off. What were they going to do? Go to the police and said, "hey officer, I got mugged at this brothel I visited. "?

If you are a first or not so frequent visitor looking for action I suggest you hook up with a local who does, or stay with Asiaworld Sauna or just call "Special Massage" section in the English newspapers. Remember to call their bluff when they ask for $5000-6000 by saying, "$3000 is what I paid last time"

Too bad I can't afford to PM here or else I would gladly show you around (when I'm in Taipei that is.)

To be very open about things then you actually pay more than i do in SC, although i go less and less these days as i have an excellent and open local network in place.

Suggesting that the only places that non or poor mandarin speaking can go is only Asia world etc is also doing a disservice to the many fine places available in Taipei.

Seems like they are doing their regular "sweeps" of these areas. Just try to go at off peak times and you will be ok.
hey Ragnarok, can you tell me what are considered "off-peak" times?

Anyway, I noticed that some of you go places together, and am wondering if I can join you.

I am ABC of Taiwanese parents, and I will be in Taipei from 9/16 to 9/21.

    Want to do something together?
9/16 to 9/21? But you've already posted some action! I don't get it. haha.

Houziwang. Thanks for reply. I'll definitely do that if I strike out. =P I wonder if you will seriously take me around. Haha, I'm pretty shy and its a big step for me just to post here, it'll be another big step to meet someone who posts here. OH, I can't call-in a girl, because I am living with my cousin's family _

Ragnarok42. Thanks for replying. I'm grateful for any kind of feedback really. For the asiaworld place you mentioned, it might just be my cup of tea. Are the girls decent? Do you know the hours of operation? So. I will go to the 15F and find it easily? So many pages on this thread I don't know whats up to date or not.

TO ADD. I do speak mandarin fluently thanks to my family when I was young. I've just got foreign accent attached to it revealing I'm not very taiwanese.

Question about police. How likely will they crack down on a place like asiaworld? I was thinking it's legal to get massages. Also do both parties get arrested? Wow. Sucks to be thinking about police while a cute girl is giving you her full attention.

Going to SC or any of the more local haunts is not a good idea if you cannot even speak to them. You will be lucky if they only want to rip you off.

Also be advised that the police seem to be more active recently in cracking down on places so be extra careful, that goes for all the brothers. Have fun but stay safe. Nothing is more shocking then having your door opening to 3 guys waving badges in your face and a WG naked on the bed ;-)
