I agree with Darkman's assessment. KTV's are pretty much all the same as far as technique and methods. The variation comes in price depending on the location.

Personally, I prefer freebies or independent pros unless someone else is treating me to KTV, which I definitely won't turn away.

For what you pay at KTV while you are there, girl gets slightly less than 50%.

For so called "full escort" from 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. until the place closes at 3 a.m., you have the girl totally at your table or room (at the KTV), you may pay NT$12,000 and the girl gets NT$5,280.

If you want to take the girl back to the hotel for sex, it is usually NT$10,000 which all goes to the girl.

Mama-san makes commision on the girls 12,000 plus all you drink. Scotch goes out on the order of NT$11,000.

When you pay the NT$12,000, you can actually take the girl out to another place but there is no guarantee for sex because you did not pay the NT$10,000. The mama does not like when you only do take out but if you are good customer, they will let you.

If girl likes you, you never pay the 10,000 extra and you are OK for all night including sex.

Girls get 4 nights off per month. If they take only Sundays off they have to work six days a week or they can work Sunday.

It is a brutal grind for the girls. they play beat the clock, hoping to make enough to quit.

There are group A and group B girls. Group A are girls that if you tell the mama you want sex, it is guarantted. Group B are girls who may decide that they will have sex with you for 10,000 or for free if they like you.

Some girls invest in establishing clientele. on slow nights, rich client will give them full escort even if they don't show up at KTV.

That is a great description of the system in KTV, Love Taipei; Come to think of it; Group and A & B, it is pretty much to same everywhere, including Tokyo, Hongkong, Manila, Shanghai, Beijing...etc etc...

1) Is the pricing you indicated a standard price for all KTVs in Taipei?

2) So, the mama san make more money out of the deal than the girl who is selling herself?

3) I was thinking since you must have a lot of girls numbers from all over the place, why don't you create a database and offer the numbers out to us? Or may be better; you can make money out of it?

4) When you were living in Tokyo I remembered that mama san call upon you the "Train" her girls, do you still does that? May be some of us can be your co-trainer as well?

I did no try this because I don't believe in paying extra 80% for commission, I rather pay the girl directly.

When I was in Taipei, I was told by Taiwanese friends that nearly Warner
Movie CIty, there is a bar area called NewYork NewYork. You can find a lot
of girls including some russian or ukrain girls.

Did not find any posting to my request for information for pick bars in Sunday posting. So I decided to head out to do some exploration.

I ended up on Chang-An Road and Dunhua North Road intersection (Not too far away from Sogo. I saw a sign that says Tian Shang Ren Jian; 天上人间 KTV. Paradise! I wonder whether this is the same owner as the KTV in Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong. They have the same name!

Decided to check it out.

It is on the 5th floor and once I headed into the elevator, the "security" ask whether I am going to the KTV. I said yes and immediately he beeps on the radio set "One guest on the way up"

Elevator opens, one of the Mama san was there to greet me and started asking question like "Are you alone?" and started explaining what kind of place is this. I answered to her "Hey, although I am not local, but this is not the first time I am going to KTV!" Escorted to a small KTV room. order drinks, Mama san came with line of girls, I picked 2 cutie.... Sasa and Xiao Xian the standard KTV thing.

Singing, dancing and once a hour, dim lights with Tops off dancing!

Mama san came in after the first topless dance, told me things I can bring the girls out later just pay 12,000. I was thinking, over my dead body I will do that! We went on chatting and got friendly with mama san and the girls , second round of dance and Mama san left, the girl lock the doo behind her! Actions starts! this time it is total naked for both girls. They want to take my pant off! But I refused. I told them if they like more action let do it at my hotel after their work time. The man of the dark is transiting in Taipei. I am only here for 2 nights and of to LA on Tuesday.

I was searching in this thread and wondering are there any pick up bars in Taipei (Bars for drink with lots of pick up girls - I like to call them vulchers). Does not seem like beside the Taven that I been to in my last trip, there are others posted on this thread, or am I doing the search with wrong words.

Haven't been back since my last post but I think I will have time this weekend. I called Yuki's and some other place in the paper for the first time. My experience was alright but nothing great. Both times an average looking girl showed up. One was probably 23 and the other 28. They both couldn't speak a lick on English so it was basically hop in the shower and get to it.

I have found that if you book the girl for 2 hours - NT6000 it is much better. The girl knows that she must stay longer and is more relaxed. Sometimes I arrange with Yuki for one hour with option to extend to two. I agree that the GFE factor is missing quite often.
