Bear in mind that Tonydasnake lived in Thailand, while he was a teenager (over 20 years ago), and has been there once since. That, of course qualifies him as an 'expert', if you take HIS word for it.

Seems he has an advanced degree in psychic divination, too, as he appears to have great insight into everybody else's motivations.

You always sound like you are suprised that many people go to Thailand with less knowledge about the Bangkok scene than you have.

Please don't worry another moment about it, I am trying to help those people and NOT impress you!

Take chances and talk to the girls anywhere, anytime, anyplace was my advice, and has been my advice several times. Also, your chances dramatically improve if a Thai girl returns and holds your stare (interest) in her. Stupid? Obvious? Probably so, but what isn't that's talked about here. Consider what Dana said about his date with a regular girl.

Just spent another week in Bangkok, and had a great time. Snuck away from the Thai girlfriend (heh heh)!

Picked up a really beautiful girl at a travel agency, asked her out(was actually surprised she said yes!) and took her to Hard Rock cafe that night. It was weird because she didn't even hold my hand all night, and when I put my arm around her she acted kind of scared or something. I thought the night was really gonna be a waste, so I was bumming out big time. The band was great for a top 40 group, so at least I kind of enjoyed that. After a while I was just kinda looking around the bar, and wishing the night was over. The bar finally closed and we went to get a taxi. I figured I'd at least give it one shot, so I pulled her close and started to kiss her. In about a second she was really going wild and grinding all over me! I couldn't believe it because she was so cool and kinda distant all night. Anyway, it was all good after that, and I seriously had the best night of sex in my entire life with her. I was getting so jaded getting laid by all these Bargirl ho's, but this "normal Thai girl" was the best one ever. It was like she saved up 20 years of being a good girl and let it all out at once. God Bless Thailand! I probably should've called her the next day, but I thought New Years was really gonna rock. Hopefully I can meet more of these "normal girls" on future trips.

Also, I stayed at the Royal Asia hotel at the end of Soi 8 and they were very guest friendly. No problems at all, and the staff was really cool. The manager even shook my hand when I checked in!!!

Unfortunately, New Year's Eve was dull. Went to the big bars in Soi Cowboy, but wasn't impressed by any girls I saw there, so headed over to Nana. I made quick friends with this really cool Austrailian dude, and we just went from bar to bar all night. The girls were cool, but barfines were 1000 baht that night, so we thought that was just B.S. and just got drunk. Checked out Nana disco after that, but it was just a bunch of old hags and ugly go-go rejects as far as I could tell.

I met some dude on the way home that was all pissed off because he paid a 1000 baht barfine, and then the girl just f*cked him quickly and took off. He said all the Nana girls just wanna do short time now. That sucks for him, but you really can't blame them. It's a business after all.

Thanks to Progman for sharing some information, because tonight I went to Orchid Towers in SIngapore and picked up a Thai girl there too. I haggled a good low price, and she was a real sweet girl with a playboy perfect body so it was worth it I guess. I walked around the bars for about 3 hours before I even saw one girl worth taking. I won't go back there because the girls are about half as good looking as the ones in Bangkok at three times the price. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time and money if you are thinking about coming to Singapore for sex.
I hope at least part of this post helps somebody.

Oh, and I agree with Wildman on the adult video thing in Bangkok. Stay home. Aren't there enough dumb ho's in L.A. to keep you guys busy? The pretty girls aren't gonna let you film them anyway because they make more money than you do. I know a few girls who won't even let customers take photos of them with their clothes on! They are terrified now of winding up on the internet.

eric, are you talking about shooting an adult video with thai girls starring, or are u bringing your own talent?

Most thai girls are extremely shy when it comes to being filmed. I think it may be hard to find willing participants for an adult movie.

Also, if you have no experience in thailand, I would be very careful about undertaking those kinds of business enterprises here with the local girls. For all it's smiles on the surface, the LOS has a very dark side - from the corruption of police and government officials to the mafia types themselves. The sex trade is guarded very jealously by those who control it, and I would be careful about moving in for a piece of it.
