Wondering if anyone has stayed at the Hotel Continent located on the east side of Asok BTS / MTS and Terminal 21. It's a few steps down from the intersection with the entrance on Sukhumvit. I reserved a room there for one night on Nov 30 as my long term lease does not begin until the following day. The room is located on a higher floor (32nd) and features a bath tub overlooking central Bangkok with floor to ceiling windows.
It cost $102 all in and the booking says it's a 5 star. Remarkable deal if it's as nice as the pics on their website and, of course, the location could not be better. Where I live in US for that price, I would be lucky to find a Quality Inn.

This place is recommended for punters. Location is between Nana and Cowboy, very quick tuk tuk from Nana Plaza with your bar fine. Thermae and street freelancers are very close. I've never seen a place with so many girls coming and going, reception collects and returns the girl's ID very quickly.
Breakfast is good, rooms are clean and well maintained. I'm impressed with the layout of my room regarding places to store my stuff (shelves, drawers, hanging closet). The bathroom and shower even have nice shelves for all your tiny stuff. One of my Thai hotel pet peeves is crazy-complex light switch designs, but this place has lots of lighting options without unnecessary complexity. Walk in shower big enough for two.
Swimming pool is on the small side and not beautifully decorated, which is a non-problem for me.

Vince Hotel Pratunam is rather close to Phaya Thai BTS, but pretty far away from the action.

Hey everyone.
There is a lot of different inputs on where to stay and avoid. I've read a lot of them, but could use some more guidance.
Since ill be coming to Bangkok and using it as my main hub, I am looking for a few different options while I am there. Maybe a few nights at each.
Here is what I'm looking for.
Hotel near a BTS station in Bangkok.
Under 2500 THB a night with fees.
Prefer something comfortable, king bed.
Must allow guest.
Nicer area.
Just wanted to get your honest take. I was looking at Center Point Sukhumvit 10 and Vince Hotel Pratunam. If you have any advice about these, please do share! Thanks everyone.

Posts: 106Siam. Kempinski GF and Amazing
I stay in Siam. Kempinski.
It's a wonderful place and GF.
You can access the hotel from the Siam Paragon without passing by the lobby etc.
I stay in the Royal Wing, and the elevator (needs a Card) is easy to reach.
The location is as mentioned by others, very niche an silent but. A 5-minute walk from BTS.
But they also have a shuttle from the Starbucks. It's convenient to use.
