I hope I will get a good repeat at mac. If you book several days at a time they lower the price per day with aprox 400 bath. Other budget places seems not to on bookings. Got the 50 m2 room and hope to make the most of it, the price difference compared to the smaller room was negligible over one week. Now I just need to find some providers I can screw on every surface in that room.

By the way, does the construction next door cause too much of a racket (can it be heard inside the room)? Thanks
Let me answer my own queries, the hotel was good. Water line problems have been fixed. There is construction going on next door but you do not hear it inside your room and only notice it upon exiting the hotel.

The only cons of this hotel are you need to pay for ice (THB 30 for small bucket and THB 60 for big bucket) and getting clothes ironed (THB 100 per garment).

Although I was carrying my laptop, I just did not get around to using the wi-fi services at the hotel. I had a good DTAC connection on my phone which was enough to get around the city (google maps etc).

I would highly recommend this hotel, my total costs for 3 nights stay was THB 4,800 (I breached THB 5,000 due to some room service that I had ordered).

About 30% of the nights I was there, there were wedding parties, and there were always high so types hanging out in the lobby. Hotel staff did not say anything or ask for ID, although only one of the women actually was dressed like a hooker. A couple looked like my daughters though.
My "worst" experience here was back in the mid 90's. Stayed at a very posh (5-star) hotel in BKK on a business trip. After official business was done, off to Nana, found a sweet little thing. Spinner, barely 18, dressed with exposed midriff, a "Triumph" beltbuckle as main cover, with an ultra-short skirt. And maybe 5' tall at most. She practically had "fuck me now" written all over.

Getting into the elevator was the best part. Two German couples in there with us. Oh, did I get the stink eye from the women.

All good. And she was great in bed.

    I love Thailand!

I'm looking at around 1500 to 2000 bht per night. I'm curious how the curfew will affect my arrival plans. Will my lady friend even be able to meet me or will I have to stay in the airport until 5 am?

I don't want to pay for a whole day's stay if check-out is at 12 noon, so I just need somewhere to take this girl for a few hours. Any suggestions?

Be sure to book a "Double" room. Or you will pay 500 Baht for each "extra" person.

Are you staying here because of a long layover?

Next trip, check out the Grande Centrepoint, in the soi by the north side-entrance. Totally GFE.

Can't imagine staying in Bangkok with all that heat and grit and not being able to take a shower. Man am I so happy I'm checking out today.

The one time he ran up the stairs to confront my girl and question her I'd even though the front desk guy took it and let us go. He's always smiled at me and shook my hand (which I thought strange since he was the only one to do so). So is he just being overly friendly, trying to dissuade guests from bringing girls back or looking for a tip?
    Tip is my guess.

    Four Seasons

Following up on an inquiry I made here earlier, after having stayed there, the Four Seasons appears to be girl friendly. But if you intend to bring slutty looking hookers in before, say, midnight, you're going to have a hall-of-shame-walk-from-hell. There's a side door on the north side of the building (across the street from Plaza Peninsula, facing towards the Grand Hyatt) that's open until midnight. However, you have to walk past people in the courtyard bar so it's only marginally better than the lobby unless you come in after, say 11:00 PM.
