Posts: 127I hope I will get a good repeat at mac. If you book several days at a time they lower the price per day with aprox 400 bath. Other budget places seems not to on bookings. Got the 50 m2 room and hope to make the most of it, the price difference compared to the smaller room was negligible over one week. Now I just need to find some providers I can screw on every surface in that room.

The only cons of this hotel are you need to pay for ice (THB 30 for small bucket and THB 60 for big bucket) and getting clothes ironed (THB 100 per garment).
Although I was carrying my laptop, I just did not get around to using the wi-fi services at the hotel. I had a good DTAC connection on my phone which was enough to get around the city (google maps etc).
I would highly recommend this hotel, my total costs for 3 nights stay was THB 4,800 (I breached THB 5,000 due to some room service that I had ordered).

Getting into the elevator was the best part. Two German couples in there with us. Oh, did I get the stink eye from the women.
All good. And she was great in bed.
I love Thailand!

Posts: 62I will arrive in BKK very early (1 am) on a Sunday morning. What is the best hotel option at that time? Hopefully, a lady friend will pick me up and drive me to whatever hotel I want, so I won't need to hit the bars.
I don't want to pay for a whole day's stay if check-out is at 12 noon, so I just need somewhere to take this girl for a few hours. Any suggestions?

Posts: 3474Thoughts on an overfriendly doorman
I've only brought 3 different girls back to my hotel, so its not like I'm parading 20 girls thru the lobby. But this one doorman is always there, not the desk guy, coming up to me when I'm walking back to my room and striking up a conversation. The one time he ran up the stairs to confront my girl and question her I'd even though the front desk guy took it and let us go. He's always smiled at me and shook my hand (which I thought strange since he was the only one to do so). So is he just being overly friendly, trying to dissuade guests from bringing girls back or looking for a tip?

Construction going on right next door, not too much of an issue until they broke the water line to the mac boutique this morning. Not 'broken broken', a few cups of water might come out every minute or so but there's little water pressure. Can't imagine staying in Bangkok with all that heat and grit and not being able to take a shower. Man am I so happy I'm checking out today.

Following up on an inquiry I made here earlier, after having stayed there, the Four Seasons appears to be girl friendly. But if you intend to bring slutty looking hookers in before, say, midnight, you're going to have a hall-of-shame-walk-from-hell. About 30% of the nights I was there, there were wedding parties, and there were always high so types hanging out in the lobby. Hotel staff did not say anything or ask for ID, although only one of the women actually was dressed like a hooker. A couple looked like my daughters though.
There's a side door on the north side of the building (across the street from Plaza Peninsula, facing towards the Grand Hyatt) that's open until midnight. However, you have to walk past people in the courtyard bar so it's only marginally better than the lobby unless you come in after, say 11:00 PM.
