I used to stay at the Ramada Tawana. At the time they charged a joiner fee and really did not want you to bring in girls. It is now just Tawana and the Ramada part is gone. Has anyone stayed there recently? Is it still not guest friendly? The price is great and it is next to Patpong.

recently had short stay at silq hotel sukhumvit soi 19.
price was about 2500 on wotif. unfortunately did not include breakfast in the price, however chez charlie coffee shop accross the road is really excellent with very high quality produce.
good points were: a very comfortable bed (i don't like cheap hard mattresses) although no more than a queen width, bathroom had a shower stall with door and no bath (a big plus to avoid bathroom floods). free wifi had good speed. reasonable view from window (not too ugly).
smallish room but usable. no complaints except for extra 300 baht charged for breakfast, which didn't look exciting, so i ate at chez charlie instead.
overall i still prefer admiral premier (when price is right) which always includes breakfast. silq bathroom is better than ap though.

Thais will sometimes say "yes" to anything to get your booking. We all know that different staff in the same Hotel can be inconsistent. Also miss communication is easily possible.
Personally, I have never emailed a Hotel to ask, but was only caught out badly once, when discovered that Bangkok Palace (Makasan) was Chinese and family oriented.

Do any of you have any recommendations for a two bedroom suite near the action? Looking to stay within a reasonable distance to Soi Cowboy and the Nana Plaza.
Doesn't need to be a 5 star hotel, just looking for two bedrooms and a living room / kitchen area. Saw the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites. Looks reasonable. Any other hints?
Not bringing a family, just wanted a bigger party area in the room.

I am looking for a short time hotel (or a cheap normal hotel) around suk soi 24-26. If any direct experience of allowing 2 girls at the same time even better.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
