    Wotif. Com

I normally stay at the Grand President on Soi 11. With a month to go to my next trip, I was looking at the wotif. Com website to see what was being offered. There were several "mystery" deals with "5 Star" hotels on Suk. Listed around 3, 000 bt per night.

I was wondering what anyone's experience was with wotif. Com and what "5 Star" hotels it features normally. Other than the "mystery" deals, the only other prices seem to be the normal rack rate for the hotels listed on the website.

    Research my boy, research.
Good answer! Lazy bastards. Search for heavens sake!

No problems at all. If you search the Thailand forum and subforums for Four Points Sheraton you will find numerous reports. Mine will be among them.

Is the GP the huge one with the tailor shops in the lobby, a massive outdoor pool? On the same soi as the Solitaire but closer to the action?

Anyway, I've heard about some ultra modern, newer hotels that have been built since I was there, but not sure of the names or if they are in walking distance of nana. Any reccomendations?
    Mustang,

There are so many hotel near Sukhumvit area you need do some research yourself, the one I like is the Majestic suite one block form NANA is about 100 USD a night also check with Agoda and hotel. Com they have map on the area with different price level and picture of the room.

    2. Research on Trip Advisor could well yield more information that you will gather here.

    3. We have had a series of posts from Mr Indecisive (poster now vanished) who was a troll; I suspect we are again going to question anyone who comes on here with an unanswerable question.

    Research my boy, research.

Why do you have to explain a visit to Bangkok? It is a thriving international city with a vast cultural history and I doubt that more than 10 percent of tourists regularly avail

Themselves of the delights of young slim bargirls and MP ladies. I find plenty to do every day which does not involve mongering and I have been to Bangkok perhaps.

    20 plus times.

What happened to the wife of a previous post?

Comment has been made on wine drinking. Potential 'joiners' to your party with wife and / or GF will not be enthusiastic about being offered wine. Try good single malts.

If there is one thing more expensive than liquor, it's wine. Be prepared to pay a buttload for a decent bottle.

I need to get my GF into really liking the 3 some, so my BKK trip is important for more then one reason.

Banyan Tree's bar is a bit better, but the view isn't quite as good.

Check 'them all out, post the pix and a report here.

To Bionicman, switching hotel is no big deal as we travel light. 10 min to pack and check out and check in usually is also just 10 min, or I hope to be the case in any 5 star.

I have never been to BKK, and between wife and GF, I may never have chance again in my life, and some of these hotels look so spectacular that I really want to soak in as much as possible.

A man wants to see / enjoy Bangkok. And he fusses about staying in an hotel which will be just like many hotels all over the world. If he wants an international.

Hotel. Go stay at the Oriental. Or the Peninsula. All the hotels on the river at least give some insight into Thai life. And if "the hotel" is the draw of Bangkok.

Being near Skvt is just a waste of time.

No woman can pack / unpack in ten minutes. Takes 30 minutes to organize the make up alone in the bathroom on arrival and thirty minutes to

    Find everything and check / re-check / re-check that nothing is left behind on departure. And he obviously has no experience of Thai check out;

Ten minutes to check the mini-bar 'because they don't trust you is a minimum. And if you query an item on the bill you will have to wait for the duty

Manager and his boss to be found to resolve the query.

Is there indecision on his company? Is it wife? Or GF? Or GF picked up to make threesome. If it is wife or GF that is coming then stand by for further.

I have been looking around for the "perfect" hotel for my trip in May. I have been looking at Livingstones (a little bit too far off for me) , Ruamchitt (seems to old and smoking is allowed in all rooms) , Cozyat10 (looks alright but no breakfast) , Paradiso also in Soi 10 (looks very ok, breakfast included but they haven't answered booking email for 24 hours).

So today I found what I think is the perfekt hotel, seems to have everything. New, top location, breakfast. You name it! On8 Sukhumvit Hotel with entrace both from Nana BTS-station and first sub-soi to the right in Soi 8.

Good price for deluxe room 23 sqm, just under 2000 baht.

    http://www.on8bangkok.com/

I can not find anybody written about this hotel before, so I will write a review when I am there.
