I will be staying a week later this month and I normally stay at the Grand President on Soi 11 for the last four years. I have heard mixed reviews lately on the condition of the rooms and the service staff. I was looking around and saw that the Adelphi was available and was wondering what anyone's recent experiences have been at that hotel. Thank you for your comments and advice.

Hello guys,
I will be staying for one week at Centara hotel at Central World. How is the scene there. Would I be able to bring a girl to my room. What about the rooftop bar, anything goes on there?
Cheers

Many BTS Stations are named after a nearby cross Soi, e. G. Asoke, Phrom Phong, Thonglor, Ekamai, etc.
So Your Hotel is in the sort of "walk of shame" Soi. You cannot go through Soi 7/1 without numerous girls calling you for massage / fuck. There are also hookers hanging around the Subway shop, and guys with massage glossies at the Soi entrance. Its all a bit seedy. Maybe its slightly too close to Dr. BJ. All Dr. BJ girls would see me pass every day, if I stayed there, and know my movements well. LOL Gossip gossip! Okay if in totally Monger mode, I guess.
It similar to Annies girls knowing I am around, if staying at the Majestic Grande.

Hi,
I had the chance to visit Bangkok recently, and I stayed at the iCheck Inn Nana.
Here's the mini-FR for those interested.
Room Quality: The hotel is newly constructed and it shows. Everything is neat and shiny. Its tiny but very modern. The King size bed that I had would easily accommodate 2 people, maybe even 3. The bathroom is spotless and very cozy. The cutest part of the room IMO is that the bathroom and the bedroom are separated not by a wall but by a glass sheet. So if you bring a girl, you can watch her take a bath. In case, privacy is required, a simple rolling blind is also installed. The room which I had, had no view as the window looked over another building but that is hardly a con in my mind. The AC was good and in 10-15 mins the rooms got chilly.
Location: Smack in the middle of Nana. It is right next door to Dr. BJ, Eden Club etc.
Food: The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant but the Nana area is chock full of nice places to eat at.
Service: The reception girls are very friendly and speak english very well. They also upgraded my room room for free. Early checkin is also available for 500B extra.
Extras: It has free wifi. It is girl friendly. Heck the hotel advertisements even say that "Only adults are allowed". It is a hotel mainly catering to mongers.
Cost: 1300B per day. Booked via Agoda. The in room beverages are decently priced and I paid 80B for a Singha can.
WIR: Yes. Without doubt. This is my favorite hotel right now. When I return to TH in a few months, I will again stay here. I will also highly recommend this place to people who are going there mainly for mongering.

I agree Admiral Premier is a very good choice.
Just wondering, besides Admiral Premier, are there any hotels who offer balconies?

The place is not very atmospheric, but certainly good value.

The AP weakness is the bathroom is pokey and shower (over bath) water will spill out onto the bathroom floor. I move the bathmat to just outside the bathroom when showering. If bathroom was better designed, this would really be a top Hotel. Breakfast is adequate, nothing special, but I think slightly better than Citadines B / F.
AP is popular so not always having cheap prices available these days. Can be full due to Group Tours using it. If you want to pay a bit more and get really excellent, I like Grand Mercure on Soi 19 (sometimes they have special price). Silq on Soi 19 is also good.
Right now I live at On Nut in a non serviced apartment. Unfortunately drawback of this is roadwork on Sukhumvit late at night currently causing traffic jams, if I miss the last BTS run. Might be better to move to Thonglor area (and be close to all those MPs).

I think I have been there, very close.
Is it the one that if you stand in front of the desk you will find: elevator on the right, entrance on the left and bar behind you (across the lobby)? And a tuktuk can drop you around.
It is ok too.
Thanks

Was looking for a decent place in that area. I used to visit Citadines (serviced apartments at soi 23) which I liked a lot (gfriendly as well). Citypoint seems also a good option (although they have no fridge in the room) but I am not yet convinced it can beat the Citadines. Anyone experienced both?
Will be there at the beginning of May, any wing-man around? .
Thanks
