Solo Sukhumvit looks somewhat farther away on the map but they have a free shuttle to (but not from) the Sukhumvit intersection.

Highly recommend Solo. Even if you don't catch the shuttle, you get used to the walk. It's not too bad.

I have been to Bangkok few times. Have stayed in Hotel Mermaid and Grand Centre Point Polenchit. Mermaid corner suit is very big and with balcony but it's not luxurious stay. Grand Centre Point Polenchit is 5 star and with balcony and is pretty good. I have called multiple girls through out my stay. Many times in a single day, even two girls at a time, No issues at all.

This time I want to splurge for a bigger room with balcony and jacuzzi. Balcony is important as I like to smoke. Hotel Solitaire Grande Jacuzzi suit looks very promising. Has any one have any experience of the hotel? GF friendly?

Yes. Furamaxclusive asoke. I would add the breakfast buffet is somewhat underwhelming so wouldn't pay for it.

That being said if you want to stay near Soi Cowboy the Furama is a decent enough 4* star hotel for around 1500-2000 baht per night and about 6 or 7 minute walk unless you're really brave dodging traffic which would save 2 minutes.

I stayed at Fraser Suites & Hyatt Regency during my last visit. I didn't face any issues in calling escorts to the room directly in either of them. If budget is not a problem, Hyatt is no brainer. The rooms are nice & the hotel is located right in the center of areas of interest. Everything is at a walking distance. Fraser suites is worth the price, but of course it is not upscale as Hyatt. The only problem is that it is located a bit far off from areas of action. I will book either of these again depending upon my budget & if I need an apartment type room.

I'll be in BKK next weekend and booked a balcony suite since I have enough Hilton points to cover it. I'll update again after my stay.

Update. The renovated rooms are quite nice. I booked a suite with a terrace. The suite is large enough and comfortable. The terrace is huge. WAY better than the unrenovated room I had last time, which I can now compare to this. Same commentary as before on the pros and cons of this hotel.

Spent 2 days at Grande Centre Point T21 and Pullman Grande recently. Both very good hotels and no issues with guests, can't really go wrong with either. Got the Deluxe Premium in T21, huge room with separated living and bedroom area, large windows with great views, nice facilities and convenient location, decent breakfast which was discounted (290) when I was there. Only complaint is that the bed is very firm, and may be a bit uncomfortable for people preferring a softer bed. Stayed in the Premium Deluxe in Pullman as well, much smaller room, excellent location just down the street from Cowboy, great view but the facilities showing some signs of age, and a breakfast that was not worth its price. Overall price at Pullman was also slightly higher than what I paid for at T21. One thing to note is that T21 is a bit more obscure, had some issues with app girls and escorts getting the location right, be sure to let them know it's the Grande Centre Point at Terminal 21, as there are like 3 or 4 Grande Centre Points in the vicinity.

I stayed in Pullman several times in the past when it was Grand Millenium and newish, and when room prices were on special. Breakfast had excellent variety, but I don't know what is its price these days. In many hotels I don't take a breakfast at all, and make my own in the room, which can save wasted money when all I want is oats and coffee. Bed mattresses were like sleeping on a cloud, ultra soft.

I'm not necessarily looking for the best bargain in the world. I have the money to spend on a good place (although nobody wants to just throw money away). My main goals are a nice spacious room, guest friendly, washer and dryer so I can pack lighter, hopefully walking distance from the fun places. I'd appreciate any advice on whether or not I'm thinking about this properly.

There are places on Soi 13 and Soil 11 that will do laundry for 70 baht a kilo. No need for washer or dryer.

I'm new to all of this so I really have no idea looking at where it's located if it's in a good location or not, even looking at the map it's hard to tell. It doesn't appear too far from the action areas, but I've read that sometimes girls can be very picky about how far away your hotel is from their bar if you're picking someone for ST.

I think most maps of the lower soi numbered Sukhumvit area where many of the girls and bars are located make things look much farther away than they really are. I could start on foot at Nana Plaza, circle around all the main beer bars, blow job bars and freelancer strolls to Soi Cowboy in less than 20 minutes at a moderate pace unless I get stopped or delayed by a sexually interesting distraction along the way. Which makes the trip seem shorter anyway.

Phachara Suites is about a 5 minute walk from Nana Plaza so walking there with a gogo dancer from Nana Plaza or any of the hundreds of other beer bar girls and Freelancers in that area is no problem at all.

The popular Freelancer hangout, Thermae, is not really far on foot either. Fastest route would be to take the escalator outside the nearby Hyatt Regency Hotel to the skywalk for BTS Nana Station, wind around to the steps at Exit 4, make a quick left turn on Soi 6 about 10 seconds from the bottom of those steps and follow Soi 6 down and to the right for about 4 minutes and you will be at Phachara Suites. Maybe a 10 minute walk in total from Thermae unless your girl is wobbling uncertainly in high heels.

The tricky part about taking a regular taxi from Thermae or the Soi Cowboy bar area is the driver will likely need to go down Soi 4 to wrap around Soi 6 where Phachara Suites is located. He can't turn onto Soi 6 directly from Sukhumvit since Soi 6 is a one way soi going the wrong way from that direction (some intrepid taxi drivers will say fuck it and do it anyway, depending on the time of night and traffic). Normally that is no problem but for the past several months there has been underground sewer pipe work or something going on Soi 4 at night right before the Soi 6 access, closing it to auto traffic.

However, going to and from Phachara Suites and Soi Cowbiy by motorcycle taxi is the fastest and can be done in a matter of 2-3 minutes. If you are into taking motorcycle taxis, as I am and do it all the time, it is also very likely your Soi Cowboy girl will have no qualms about taking a motorcycle taxi ride anywhere. That is probably how she got to work that evening, either by motorcycle taxi or on her boyfriend's motorcycle. Same with Nana Plaza gogo dancers.

I don't know what an FL is that you mentioned about Soi 4. My understanding is that Soi Cowboy is the big area where most of the stuff is? I don't know what Thermae is at all. Is there a guide someone could link me to explaining the areas so I don't have to be told things that probably have been asked a thousand times? Much appreciated.

RTFF = read the fucking forum. The answers to all your questions and a whole lot more is here. Go back 6 to 12 months and skim forward. For example,

FL = free lancer. As to finding out about FL's on Soi 4, in Soi 4 bars, or in Thermae: RTFF or wait until you arrive in BKK and take a stroll down Soi 4 or the odd numbered soi side of Sukhumvit between Soi 3 and Soi 19 from around 10pm to - midnight. Seeing it with your own eyes is worth a million words.

I'm very new to all of this and have been to Bangkok twice. I'the stay near Nana Plaza rather than Soi Cowboy personally having tried hotels in both areas. That being said if you want to stay near Soi Cowboy the Furama is a decent enough 4* star hotel for around 1500-2000 baht per night and about 6 or 7 minute walk unless you're really brave dodging traffic which would save 2 minutes. Guest friendly. No ID check even. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious although a bit dated (wear and tear on fixtures / tiles was obvious) and there are only 2 lifts which can be irritating if busy time of day. There was a laundry just down the round from the hotel but I just used the hotel service for 2 or 3 items (so overpaid I know). Other hotels I've stay at have been far more expensive though pretty sure I had a washer / dryer at centre point 21 hotel but is at least double the price of Furama.
