Apparently she drank some white liquid and may have had a bit of a pill in her mouth which she slipped to him while kissing. Security cameras show that she left the room and went outside and brought the friend back with her to help toss the room.
So while we may find it annoying sometimes, it may also make sense to think about how much you can trust the girl based on how you found her. Questionable circumstances? Short time hotel or get the I'd taken / recorded by the hotel.

Beautiful 5 star property (well atleast it looks and feels the part) with service one would expect from an international chain (Millenium and Copthorne).
What I loved about GM is the well appointed bathrooms, lovely bedding, work station, socket inputs (AV) and power, USB outlets etc. Beautiful large tub with a separate loo and separate shower. Internet is bloody expensive though. Tip!. Buy an AIS 3G tourist SIM for 400 baht (1 gb, plus 100 baht call credit) and create your own wifi hotspot with your phone.
Laundry is bloody expensive but there are alternate options on Soi 23 just behind the hotel. I found atleast 3 within 20 meters on both sides of the rear entrance.
Soi 23 back entrance is perfect to avoid walk of shame. No I'd check ever. All my deliveries were smuggled in from the rear except once when I came in from the front with a repeat MIXX date. Security discreetly asked for her I D at which she got upset and said why ask me now but not last night? LOL! Security let us through with an apology. I plan to make this my future BKK base.
Last 2 nights there was lots of Indian Bollywood eyecandy in the hotel lobby (wedding party in the 3rd floor convention room / hall). Lots of flash cars parked outside. Funny thing was that the thai waitresses that night were in Indian clothes and they looked super cute, though a bit awkward.

As many have pointed out this place is a fav among arab families. However, this did not bother me at all (unlike GP). Infact I saw some of the hottest thai GF's / mia noi's. One attached to an Indian chap and another attached to an old Arab guy who walked with a stick and a limp. I bumped into them quite often in the elevators, always exiting with a hard-on for their GF's. Not common ugly farang-choice bar girls but hi-so thai beauties with perfect english.
The place is new, with all the mod-cons, amazing bed and pillows (10/10) and a fairly decent bathroom with a nice rain shower. Watch out for the door ledge in the bathroom and be careful not to stub your toes. Internet is free and fast. Location is just perfect if you want to walk to Nana.
100% GF, I D taken discreetly and you are made to quickly sign a joiner form (by the security guard, not the front desk). No charges though.

Posts: 141Grand President. Not grand anymore
Grand President has gone downhill so rapidly I just couldn't believe it. Was my fav BKK residence over 4 years ago. I was just not prepared for such dilapidation. Deluxe Suite in Tower 2 was worn out and smelly. Towels threadbare, batroom fixtures wobbly, lighting was downright depressing. The place seems to be run over by cheap obnoxious and smelly arabs (not being racist, see my review on Phachara Suites). The smell from the musty central aircon was too much to bear that I forfeit by my advance booking and moved to Grand Millenium (which was super awesome).
Grand President has a new management now. I believe Compass Hospitality has given up on it. Hasty rebranding can be seen everywhere (Kingston hospitality or something along those lines). The front desk staff are downright rude. Avoid!
100% GF
