On Google maps it is easily seen that going down to Sukumvit is far longer. I have stayed at Dream so I am familiar. Going to sukumvit is the long way.
I disagree. I think Google maps shows the walk / distance from Dream Hotel (and even more so from Fout Points by Sheraton) to anywhere on Soi 11 other than a destination at the farthest end of it where the 7-11 and Marshmallow restaurant are is shorter if you walk up Soi 15 to Sukhumvit Road and then over to Soi 11 that way. And I have walked both routes a few times. Walking at a moderate speed to Soi 11 the otherwise desolate RossoddiSera italian restaurant route will take about 8-9 minutes before you first step foot on Soi 11. And then you will have to walk almost the length of Soi 11 to get to the more often mentioned destinations near Villa Market. Walking the same speed via the Sukhumvit Road route will take you about 4-5 minutes to first step foot on Soi 11 and then you are less than 2 minutes from Villa Market and the nearby destinations. Slightly less than that if you take the small cutaway soi from Suk to Soi 11 at Khan Khazana vegitarian Indian restaurant.

It's not a big deal really, but anyone staying at Dream Hotel or especially Four Points would be in for a longer and more boring walk if they turned right on Soi 15 and wound their way to Soi 13 and then to that 7-11 way down there than if they just turned left and walked up to Sukhumvit instead. Unless their goal was to get to that particular 7-11 or Marshmallow. I suppose another reason to go down that way would be to avoid encountering someone you don't want to meet on Suk or the higher ends of Sois 15 and 11.

I stayed at this hotel in 2013. Girls can come directly to your room as they don't need to walk through the reception. Anyone can walk from Soi 15 though the compound up to the lifts which are located near the restaurant on the ground floor where breakfast is served.

Maybe if you were heading to Marshmallow restaurant or, at most, Oskar Bistro. In that case you might save a maximum of 1 minute going that way and the route is one of the more desolate and boring walks in the area except for the sight of the lovely italian restaurant you mentioned, RossodiSera.

However, if your Soi 11 destination is anywhere above the very far end of it, say Zaks, the German restaurant, Suk 11 Thai restaurant, Cheap Chatlies, Zanzibar, Villa Market and the massage shops next door, taking a left outside of Dream Hotel on Soi 15 to Sukhumvit Road then turrning right to Soi 11 that way will cut your journey by anywhere from several minutes to half the time.

That route cuts the walk time even more if you are staying at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.

Spend 1 night here. Got online promo for Deluxe room 1540 baht for night including breakfast buffet.

Room is big but old, wifi work not good in the daytime, better in the late night. Breakfast buffet standard chioce of food international and asian, quality not bad.

Had a girl come to visit me, but I not got any call from the reception when she arrive nor when she leave. Not a problem for me I know her well but I just want let you know that security sucks.

Yes, you can turn left there at the Trendy Building and you will eventually arrive at a small soi that will get you to Soi 15 if you turn right on it. But it won't get you to Soi 15 any faster or with less walking than if yoiu had just turned right at the Trendy Building and headed to Sukhumvit Road to get there.

Then again, maybe your hotel or other destination is closer to that far end of Soi 15, in which case there is a soi down there that connects Soi 13 to Soi 15.
Dream Hotel is close to the back Sois path so that will give a quicker way to Villa Markt.

The 120 baht toll fees are a pain. If you arrive at night be sure to say no to the toll. They take the main streets and it takes all of 10 minutes more to the Suk area. You still must pay the additional 50 baht for the airport fee.

The other taxi guys who are just sitting there waiting are high tendency to not want to use meter and charge a high fixed price. To be avoided. The reason I use the departures is not to save money (50 b surcharge does not mean anything), but rather to often save time because the lines at the lower level queue can be long. It's easy anyway from the taxi departure area.

Get a ticket from the machine and go to the taxi bay number noted on your ticket. The only possible hold-up is if there is a line in front of the ticket machines, but I have never had any delay at all.

    It's a well-organized system now. Hassles eliminated.

Its going to open in March 2017 under new hotel ownership Mercure Soi 11.
