Hello,
This hotel is indeed GF but I also was offered an upgrade of my room. It almost feels like they get some kind of commission when you decide to upgrade.
I did upgrade the first time because I was expecting a friend to be with me for a few days. The rooms looks nice but I think the upgrade is not necessary unless you spend all day in your room. If you just return to change clothes during day time and sleep and have sex during night time why pay for 3 suuare meters extra.
The breakfast was just so so to me. I tried it 2 times but just go out for breakfast.
The staff is nice. One of the ladies is a bit bossy. Just tell her you have a wife at home who tries to dominate you and you don't need that from a lady who should be there to serve you (to a certain level).
Greetings, Frits.
PS probably will return there end this year.

Posts: 156The best hotels in Sukhumvit area
I like to stay near Asok metro and have stayed in Citrus Admiral Premier and Citadines. I was wondering what other hotels are equally good or even better in this area as compared to the ones I listed? Can you please recommend few?
Thanks in advance.

Posts: 3040The Oriental and the Peninsula are both amazing hotels, but these hotels are better suited for a couple looking for true 5 star quality accommodations and who are interested in exploring the cultural places of interest in BKK. More suited to the interests of punters looking for a good time and wanting 5 star or at least 4. 5 star amenities would be the new St Regis Hotel, the Grand Hyatt, the Intercontinental and closer still to the action, the Sofitel Sukhumvit, and the Grande Centre Point T 21 (the grand suite). Personally I like the Fraser 1 bedroom Superior and Deluxe suites, and the Marriott Executive Apartment Hotels (both the Park (Soi 24) and / or Thonglor properties) I and 2 bedroom suites.

Posts: 134The Peninsula is the one, they have some great package offers, I was a cheap Charlie and they only picked me up from the Airport in a S Class Merc, I should have had one of the Rolls Royces, or better still the Helicopter.
I took a lady from Country Roads back there with no problems at all, you may not find time to give a lady all the attention she needs as there is a TV at the end of the bath. .

Definitely not GF. But you might find a young rich divorcee in the Bamboo Bar.

Regularly voted one of the best hotels in the world.
I stayed there one night 15 years ago (paid for by a rich friend) and it was unbelievably good, with exceptionally well-trained staff.
The other hotels along that stretch of the Chao Phrya are also very much high-end (eg Shangri-la), and some of them will give you the big views you want.
