There's a condo that I used to live at which you can do month to month. It is locate near a MRT ( metro line) and charges 7000B per month and has a swimming pool. The nice thing about it is it has a 24 hours restaurant that brings the food to your room. The name is LA towers and it is locate on soi 17 of Rachada behind Poseidon Massage.

I found out about it from a Poseidon girl, so if you go there all of the local motor bike taxi can get you to the condo. It is a 5min walk from Poseidon and you can see it from the windows of Poseidon.

Otherwise there are other condo/hotel times that you can rent for 500B per day or 13500B per month locate on the on the main soi of Poseidon about 50 meters down the soi ( side street).

Also almost all condo complex have monthly rentals and I would not worry about that you can always figure that out when you get here.

    I hope this helps.

    : D Heh.

I tried the google thing, it worked the first time, and I said to myself, "Jeez man, what a fuckhead I am, I have to write a retract right away! " Then, google didn't work on any of the other secret deals but one, oops.

Please don't get me wrong here, I use Agoda, Expedia, (TripAdvisor), Hotwire, Priceline, and Wotif. I also call the hotels themselves (using Skype) to see if I can get sizable breaks off of the original online booking rates. I have a ton of airline mileage and Agoda points, and am an Expedia Elite where I get discount coupons and an automatic 30% off in some locales.

Usually, I try to spend about 30 min a day doing online travel research for myself and my clients/friends, I am on the go every week, and get a ton of crap in my emails, and I am sure that you do too. Everybody gets out of it what they put in I figure.

Again, when I book hotels and airfares, I get the down and dirtiest cheapest rates, put them on my card for a deadlock, then make absolutely fucking sure I make it to the booking on time and in one piece. Canceling just one thing would mean having to cancel a ton of inline scheduled and arranged crapola along with it. So, I always go when I am supposed to go, and be there when I am supposed to be there, period.

    OK never mind.

You would NOT believe the deals I am getting with Priceline bidding lately. But it's the same thing there, you can't cancel or change your dates, totally impossible. Two weeks ago I got a 5 star hotel in San Francisco Union Square, four rooms for 2 nights, 43rd floor, including Executive Club floor private breakfast, (normally $330 each room/night online) all for a crazy $80/night each. Right now is the time to do this kind of thing, 4 and 5 star hotel rooms are sitting vacant all over the world, but really, you won't be able to negotiate with the hotel directly and expect to get a badass discount like that, forget about it.

So, if you are up for the game, you simply run the gauntlet with the Priceline bidding system (if you have done your homework, know the ropes, and can gamble a tiny bit, ) but fuck yeah, it is definitely paying off nicely as of late.

Even here in Thailand. Priceline bid won last week: 5 Star Amari Watergate, 2 nice very classy newly remodeled rooms, w/42" LCD TV, xlnt city views, no brkfst, $50 night/each.

Nowhere in there is the actual hotel mentioned, that's because it is supposed to be a secret. It's not a secret anymore now is it? I told you what it is, and now you know.

In any case, I booked 2 rooms in March for Hong Kong clients, my old Canadian buddy stayed there just a few weeks ago as well, all booked using the previously sussed "secret" Wot hotel deal. They all paid a total of exactly ฿6122 ($180 nett) for all three nights, and they all received this type room, exactly:

    http://furamaxclusive.com/asoke/rooms.php?s=premier

I know this hotel well Fifty Fifty. It's really not my style, too much of that pantywaisted boutique crapola for me, and I still haven't figured out what that weird fucking oval cutout is supposed to be in the ceiling, (put a freakin mirror in there or something dammit!) But, the tourists really seem to like it a lot, it's an easy hit for me to book for them, and it does get the job done quite nicely.

I dare you to beat that deal on that room at that hotel.
I have in no way missed the point.

The ''Secret Wotif Deal'' is the one I researched successfully using my "Google Method'' so you really did not need to tell me the secret info.

I say again, this deal is only for a Deluxe Room, your clients may have got lucky and been upgraded, but the deal is not for Premier Rooms at all.

Furthermore there are two other issues with this "Secret Wotif Deal" that I totally disagree with.

    1) The disclaimer in the Booking that says

"This property will not offer a refund if you want to cancel or change your booking for any reason"

    2) The requirement to pay in full upfront when making the booking through Wotif.

As I say again I may have agreed to pay a little more, but I have Premier Room Reserved and I have not paid upfront for anything, therefore my booking remains flexible, which is how I need it to be. I can change or cancel within 48 Hrs of reservation date and lose nothing.

I have been playing the hotel booking game for over 30 yrs and I take my time to research and gain a good deal.

Usually the ''really good deals'' such as the Wotif Secrets etc require full payment in advance with no refund policy and I avoid them due to the need for my work and travel plans to be flexible.

I am also not so keen on the trashy touristy megastar hotels which charge extra for farting in bed etc, however I am travelling with my long term CIS GF who likes the "stylish'' places, so there has to be a little give and take all round.

So my point is I have a fully flexible but guaranteed Premier Room booking and I havent paid a penny upfront - agreed price is 8000 THB inc all taxes etc for 3 nights, pay on checkout, now that does take some beating !

If anyone else needs any hotel booking advice ask ''Barko'', dont bother me

    Cheers, FF

Except that the Wotif Hot Deal (Stay 3 Pay 2) is for a deluxe room and I want better so I got a premier one, hence I paid a little more.

I couldnt get the premier room on the same (3/2) deal from Wotif or the hotel itself, however I did get it through Asiatravel - odd but true.

As for finding out which hotel is the Wotif ''secret deal'' referring to, I have an easy method.

    1) Choose the Wot Hotel Secret Deal you are interested in, click ''next'' to link through to the ''secret details'' on the booking page.

    2) Copy and Paste the Room details into Google, and 99% of the time up it comes with the hotel name - job done.

    Cheers, FF

Yep, and for me, if I'm going, I'm going. The small print doesn't faze me.

I understand that this method is not for everyone, but it does save me a healthy chunk o' change. It will for you too.

OK here, for another good example, the "Marriott Executive Apartment, Sathorn Vista". It is also a "secret" Wot hotel deal that I just booked for someone yesterday:

    http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hote...ll&refId=65662

The way I do it is go to the Bangkok header:

    http://www.wotif.com/hotels/thailand...ok-hotels.html

This the "Live Deals" page. Now, look at the tabs just above the hotel listings. You will see "Live Deals", "Hotel List", and "Related Options".

Isolate your area by going to "Related Options", it will list the separated areas of the city, then go to your area, e.g. Sathorn:

    http://www.wotif.com/hotels/thailand...rn-hotels.html

You see, it lists the hotels in your specific area, and the 'secret' deals, nicely separated and defined by star rating. You then just open each of the hotels listed under the secret deal in relation to the star rating, and compare the options and amenities to the secret, as I did with this:

    Secret deal: http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hote...ll&refId=65662

    Comparitive listing: http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hote...1&viewType=all

You precipitate and extract the deal simply by doing a little research (reading everything in there and being sure they are the same.) You may think that it takes a bit too much time to go through them all, but after you do it a few times, it's very easy, ergo, it becomes a very low risk gamble. You basically KNOW what the "secret" Wot hotel is before you book it.

In this example, I backdoored a normally priced brand new 3,800 Baht suite (and a good deal even at that price,) for 2,999 Baht for three nights. So this particular case truly reflects what fantastic deals can be had.
You've probably lost some of the membership here, more importantly Wotif may be losing potential customers, who are more interested in the clearly visible price/location than learning the hidden nuances of their website. Why wouldn’t the best deals be promoted up front instead of being concealed only to be "backdoored" by those in the know?

This disclaimer below from that listing above is enough to turn me off though, if I can't cancel or change my reservation I am going elsewhere.

    * This property will not offer a refund if you want to cancel or change your booking for any reason.

My brothers in arms here at ISG that use it, I just ask for a tip your hat and a thanks, I just saved you a bundle of serious dough on your hotel travel.

    More to come. Questions?

Yep, that would be me, and yep, you paid too much.

I have booked many times with Wotif, for myself and others, even this same room at FuramaXclusive Asok, the people I booked for liked it a lot, (BTS, MRT, Tops Market, Robinsons, Soi Cowboy, not to mention the outstanding breakfast & fast free Internet) and, the pricing & professional service is simply unbeatable:

    http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hote...ll&refId=65662

Asiatravel.com is very pricey IMHO, and, because they don't precharge your card, they have a history of calling you the day before your reservation date and telling you that they can't get the hotel you wanted, "Shall we try another?" That's a total horseshit way to run a business if you ask me. But then again, I am just an old caustic mouthed, one eyed trouser snake skirt chasing farthead, what would I know?

Oh and for the mongering minded, make sure to book 2persons per night, and tell them when you check in that your girlfriend is a flight attendant and will be arriving late.
