That sounds really good. I will consider to stay there one day (but I think I am already too old for that ).

In the evening, check out the Sports Bar for a drink and some pool, and enjoy a meal at LL. I like to eat in the bar sometimes (the AC helps my digestion). Then head over to Soi Cowboy to see the parade. Grab a girl for short time somewhere, and then head back to LL and call a massage delivery shop for a late night (early AM) rub session. I've had good luck with Sabai Sabai on Soi 11. (...someone on the forum might have a suggestions for ST and/or a massage girl?)
Send the last girl home and sleep like a rock for 5 or so hours, enjoy your hearty breakfast in the morning (starts 8'ish or so), and head back to the airport. Give yourself a bit of extra time for morning traffic.
...with my suggested plan you're in for at least four pops of various variety (without much drama and pain). I'd save Eden and LT with a Sports Bar girl for another trip.

I usually stay at the JW Marriott if I want to ambiance of a 5 star hotel. Also, I would consider just paying for the hotel rather than using points in Bangkok as even 5 star hotels tend to be much cheaper than other places, such as Dubai. Might be better to suck up the cost and safe the points. Just my suggestion.

In a few weeks my flight schedule sees a 23hrs lay-over in Bangkok from mid morning to the next mid morning
I was wondering what's the best hotel option.
Being a first timer in BKK, but not in Thai, I think I need to pay a visit to a couple of honoured establishements.Tulip? Eden? They might look bit of an obvious and basic choice for a newcomer in BKK. One has to do the basic first
Will see.
Needless to say I have RTFF, but still doubtful about the possible overnight hotel.
Not looking for a cheap one as it is part of a work travel.
Tempted by LL, but does it make sense for one night only?

Could somebody tell me whether the Plaza Athenee is girl-friendly?
What about the Sheraton Orchid? Thanks.

Walkable from a BTS station, and they also run a shuttle up to the BTS every 20 minutes or so. The Hilton itself is on the river - there is a shuttle boat from the end of the BTS line, but it is more distant from the fun zones. Usually cheaper for points stays and paid stays than the Conrad, but decent (and GF) just the same.

Looking for some good suggestions for some decent, not too expensive hotel in Bangkok this coming June. Will likely just stay a couple of nights before heading for Korat and Pattaya as well. But would like to live close to where the action is
Seeing as I've just been exploring the scene in Pattaya before, I have no clue where to go in Bangkok. So I'm looking just for the advice from those of you who have bigger experience with Bangkok.
Also, if you know. Please list about how far away with cab that places like MBK and Panthip is from the suggested hotel, and I'd be ever thankful. Have to take care of other needs too.
