Its best to smuggle them in through the elevator that goes to the street, as in you meet them outside and take them up, or if you pick them up from outside you take them in with you.
If the wander aimlessly past reception on their own they will be asked to register and deposit their ID card and then you are at the mercy of the reception girls as to whether they want to charge you a joiner fee or not.
You can book direct with good last minute rates directly at the hotel website :

If you into banging girls in Q bar or Bed Superclub, then Le Fenix is "ideal location".

Thats the only reason I chose S15 recently. To avoid that extra 400-500 metres and be very central to mongering venues. But I would like to give Citichic a go some time soon, as it is well rated.
Hotels right on Sukhumwit, its worth considering S15, Ruamchit Plaza, Majestic Suites. All with reviews posted.
I will go back to Livingstone's Lodge this weekend, which just a short walk into Soi 33. My time is short. My favourite Oily MPs are close. Its also a short taxi or motorcycle ride through back Sois to Cowboy and the MRT. For Nana Plaza, I would walk out and cross Sukhumwit at the pedestriation crossing, then an easy short taxi ride to Nana provided not peak hour. If you want to spend heaps of time at Nana (and I don't), then Majestic or Dynasty Grande are good options.

I stayed at the LeFenix Sukhumvit Hotel the other night. It's an interesting hotel in a good location on the end of Soi 11. Style-wise, it has that trendy, minimalist look that's getting more popular in Bangkok (white and pastel colors, flat screen TV, comfortable bed, subtle mood lighting. etc.). The hotel staff was very efficient and friendly.
The very first page of the in-room hotel guide outlined their guest policy (i.e., no guests; there is a joiner fee). Skirting this, though, I had a spirited in-call massage for about three hours and there were no issues with that. My favorite massage gal is pretty good at floating in and out wherever she goes. Probably would work OK for short time.
I was able to find a good last minute rate (the day before) on ratestogodotcom. There's good rates on the hotel website, too.
BTW, I've used Sabai Sabai Massage for hotel delivery a number of times now and it's been well worth it.

One of the hotel web sites said that City Lodge Soi 19 has no elevator is this true.
Can any one confirm or deny this info?.
Thanks

Does anyone knows if Nana Guesthouse still there?
Remember it 15 years ago. Stayed there many times when in BKK.
It was inside Nana Plaza and I think I payed around 350baht.
There was a nice middleage TG working there or maybe the owner.
Short walk to Hollywood...

I'm thinking of staying at the City Lodge soi 19 because its close to soi cowboys action. An alternative is S15 just for the better rooms.. But most of our action will center around Cowboy.. Is there a better located hotel than city lodge that at least three starts ... Oh and not the Taipan... looks kind of old the rooms..
Thanks for your help....

I am thinking of staying at CitiChic Hotel. newish, modern, hip (um, ok, clean and neat)
Question: Since I am visiting Bangkok for the Nana - Soi Cowboy - Soi 33 trifecta, is this a good location. I will actually be in BKK twice this trip so i could do two hotels like CitiChic and majestic.
Any way, is Citichic in the right spot -- http://www.citichichotel.com/map_nearby.html -- I know how hot a 5 - 10 block walk can get even at 8PM.
Oh, they tell me they are a friendly place.
Thanks

In the same soi as Maxim's Inn one may find World Inn. I passed earlier on taday and found the rooms to be clean. At 1100B including breakfast, this is not a bad deal. It is also GF.
Some of the bars there ie soi7/1 also have rooms for rent. I haven't ventured there yet but i will and hopefully report on the situation

Situated in Soi7/1, this is budget accomodation (@ B1100). It is centrally placed, just a minute from Nana BTS. Many bars all around and only about 50m from Eden.
Cons: The furnishings are basic but if you're the type of person who spends most of the time outside then it's ok
Pros: Soft matress and pillow and quite clean

Chic Hotel is good - its 3/4 along soi 13 so about 15 minute walk from either Cowboy or NEP. orTaxi along greenway to NEP (could take a while as traffic is often jammed up) or taxi to Cowboy along Suk..... or to any of the great Soapy / Oilly experiences described by MicK & others. I live around the corner - it's a good place to be.
BTW the vietnamese restaurant next door is very good
Girls .... it depends on your taste & budget - Plenty to choose from for LT all around there. The Uzbek girls stay in the hotel next door so that's an interesting option, but the Thai girls are much better looking and much better value and service. PM if you want more details.Last edited by Skeeter; 08-06-08 at 15:03. Reason: spelling!
