My first post here, to contribute, because I found (again) very valuable info.

I'm French (sorry for my English), 50 something, I know Thailand since 17 years, and have been living here a lot.

Not a monger actually. I prefer a girlfriend. But I go sometimes to look for a good experience.

I like quality, and IMO it's more and more difficult to find here.

Daisuki is a nice place, thanks for those who mentioned it.

I can confirm the many positives, not so common nowadays:

- Original (so only for those who read the book from Nabokov. Just kidding. But amazing book though).

- Good reception, management which really take care of quality and customer satisfaction, not common.

- Good building, large room, clean.

- Coconut oil witch is really good for you I mean it, no bad oil sticking on your dick, way more healthy. Coconut oil is the must. Well done again.

- And well the point is the girls are 1-Pretty, 2-Willing to please. Very good attitude (not common again).

It's HJ only, and to get the girl to undress you pay more (if she does, some reviews say some don't).

Prices standard for quality (of course you find dirty cheap elsewhere without all those quality) : 400 oil massage 1 h, but 500 only for 1.5 h. +500 for HJ but no take off / touching witch is a waste IMO, so +1000 you get the pretty young girl undressing, you can touch, and she makes you happy with hands.

No issue whatsoever with time / rush, with crazy A/C, etc. She want to make you happy, much appreciated I would say nowadays.

I visit Thailand regularly, and this time I thought I'd stop by Chiangmai to see how much fun there is to be had. Well the short answer, as several have mentioned, is. Almost none! I read the reports on several sites, went to different places, and overall it's a complete disaster, especially compared to Bangkok where I had a blast as usual. There are massage places everywhere, but I have yet to see one attractive girl in any shop! The only decent girls are at the alley / boxing stadium, they're quite friendly but nothing like in Bangkok! The Tinder-like apps are also a waste of time, most girls who answer are ladyboys, massage girls, women in their 30's, or lazy, stuck up girls asking for money (and I'm not old or ugly! I'm not on ThaiFriendly, but unfortunately, and again like many have mentioned in the Bangkok forum, there has been a clear decline in the women's *attitude* herein this country (and others) compared to 10-20 years ago. Will check out a couple more places, but overall want to confirm what others have said and to skip CM for mongering.

Read reports that Thai girls in Chang Mai are more lighter skinned than southern Thai's.

So just wondering the facts here? Do they look more Vietnamese / Chinese in their appearance generally or is it just the skin colour.

To me many Thai's look a bit too "hard" in the face for me. Just a personal preference.

Aside from the slums of the Santitham brothels which mostly have Laos and Burmese girls, I've found a Thai brothel across from O2 gym just south of the end of Loi Kroh. There are some wicked fucking hot Thai girls in there. I haven't been in a very long time and never took a girl out; just drank a beer and chatted with the mamasan. I haven't posted on this site in a while, and never before in the Thailand section, but after living in Chiang Mai the last 8 months and studying Thai, I have to agree with Rick Rock.

Chiang Mai is a big city, but when it comes to the farang bars, restaurants, mongering spots. It's fucking tiny. I spend a few nights per month blowing money on Loi Kroh, dated a girl for a few months from the back end of one of those bars, been to a few massage places (Daisuki is reliably the best value for the money so it's my go-to if I'm up for that but the massage girls constantly change and some have better skill than others of course,) and have hooked up with random girls from bartenders, waitresses, day game, you name it. I don't go to places like Zoe or Spicy because I hate the backpacker farang that go there and almost all those girls are either freelancers or they're taking dick from every corner of the city. I also have never paid a bar fine or a freelancer here. Don't really need to.

However, I'm finding that the longer I stay in this town, the smaller it is getting. I've seen many of the bar girls from Loi Kroh go with guy after guy. I even run into them with different guys in every day situations. But I'm just 'their friend' so they aren't losing face. I have also noticed that I'm running out of places to 'hunt' for girls that I haven't fucked yet. I've even been caught a few times by a girl I've fucked before with a different girl but from a neighboring bar (not beer bar girls.) On top of this, I have met Eskimo brothers here in CNX (guys that have fucked the same girl.)..

There are always going to be risks of contracting STDs when going with any hookers or even meeting girls at random these days, and considering that Chiang Mai Thai hookers who cater more on the Farang scene are going to be heavily used due to supply and demand, the risks of STDs are probably going to be higher up here, so perhaps staying with the B2B HJ establishments are a safer bet or cracking into the Thai orientated sex scene, that again as you said; many of the Thai guys don't like using condoms.

Some people come to Thailand and look for women with the worst features of their own society. You (like me) have realized how much more is out there.

This not only applies to dating and pick ups (which are very possible if you can put together a few sentences in Thai).

It also applies to mongering. Because there are many good mongering places in Chiang Mai. They all accept Farang (though 1-2 cheap brothels have girls who fear the mythical white dick). So, in conclusion, without understanding of Thai language on a deeper level than even most expats that have been here for a few years (because most of those guys are spoiled and think that the Thailand of the 1990's still exists where a few dollars is enough to get you laid without any Thai,) then don't even bother coming here for sex tourism compared to Pattaya. Don't even bother trying to find a good girlfriend. You'll find pussy easily if you're decent looking and can pay for a few nights out. But just remember, you won't be the only one so wrap that shit up because almost every guy I've talked to doesn't wear condoms. Even with bar girls they've barfined.
