I am fine, thank-you, and not in the hospital. The bump really is more embarrassing than serious.

But it was more serious than I first thought. At first I debated on going to the hospital at all to get it checked, thinking a little ice and I'll be good to go. But after a half hour eating dinner while holding ice on the swelling, the bleeding was not stopping. The ladies in the restaurant all urged me to go get it checked. Still debated, walked down Loi Kroh to chat with a friend from Nepal who has a singing bowl shop. He took one look at me and almost ordered me to go to the hospital (Chiang Mai Ram). The decision came when I realized the bleeding was not stopping or even slowing. And it is a bleeding head injury. So off to the hospital I went, and very glad of that. It was cleaned thoroughly, and needed 5 stitches to close the gash. They gave me antibiotic to prevent an infection. And, they gave me pain pills with codeine. And, I have to go to the hospital every day to have the wound cleaned and the bandage changed.

Having a large bandage on my forehead is not an attractive or sexy look (not that I am "sexy" at my age). I have talked to my "regulars" and shared the story. Stitches come out Monday, but I'll be looking for some erotic fun this weekend (New Year's weekend). I'll report anything interesting.

And the medical costs. I do have very good travel insurance, so this will all be covered. Chiang Mai Ram is an expensive private hospital in Chiang Mai, second only to Bangkok Hospital. And both are as good as or better than any hospital in the USA I like Ram better because I can walk to it in 20 minutes from where I stay in the old city. I could probably walk to Bangkok Hospital, but it is 5 kilometers and would take well more than an hour. Nevertheless, the total cost in the emergency room the first night was 4700 baht, or less than $150 US. Each of the wound cleaning and redressing visits is 450 baht or less than $14 US. In the USA, that emergency room visit might have been $4700 instead of 4700 baht.

There are many tourists in Chiang Mai for New Years, much are families from what I am seeing. The foot massage places all along Loi Kroh are busy. The full-service shops are not busy. This could be a very fun weekend. The Thai ladies are all telling me it was good to have the mishap before the New Year so I can start the new year leaving behind the bad events. Not sure I fully understand, but it is cultural thing, and I have heard essentially the same thing from different ladies, including the family who run the guest house in which I am staying. Cool. I'm all for good things in the new year, especially if it means some or more erotic fun.

I'm having a very good time in Chiang Mai with the ladies at the massage parlours.

I'll be taking a few days off from my erotic evening adventures. I was walking south along Chaiyapoom Road (outer moat road) right near Chang Moi Road, and hit my head on a sign. Swelling started immediately, and it was cut and bleeding, so off to the hospital to get it checked. Needed 5 stitches. Now I have a large bandage on my forehead above my right eye. Not an attractive sight to the ladies. And I am supposed to rest for a few days.

I think I'll tone things down with a foot massage at about 8:00 PM on Tuesday (in Thailand) Dec 27 at Nature Massage on Loi Kroh Road, almost directly across from Rock Me Burger. I have short almost white hair, and have a bandage on my forehead. On my way to and from the foot massage, I'll talk to some of my favorites and see if I can get some sympathy attention. Who knows what might happen. And if good things happen, I'll report back.

What I enjoy about the bars is the game! I know it is a game and enjoy seeing how each girl stages her own I know I'm paying for their LDs, and that they likely have a quota to hit for the night. But OTOH, I'm on holiday, have cash to spend, love the company of pretty women, and don't like drinking alone! So the bar game is something I totally enjoy. If things escalate, so be it, but sex is not my sole objective for the night (s) out.

Having said that, I'll certainly explore some of Beach's inputs. Actually keen to maybe trying out one of those Karaoke places. For the experience. Anybody keen to meet Jan 14th night. PM me.

I don't drink alcohol or smoke, so I don't aim for the bars. On Loi Kroh and in the entertainment complex by the Muy Thai boxing stadium, essentially all of the ladies can be bar-fined, I do know that. I do walk by the bars, and sometimes chat briefly with the ladies. I do not know the current rates for bar fines or what the ladies are asking for short-time or long-time.

Fair enough. I've been in that complex a couple times, but more to relax, chat with the ladies, play some pool. None took my fancy, but pickings were slim in March. I'll see if they have improved when I'm there in Jan and report back.

Thirty minutes later we were in 69 and I was getting one of the best BBBJs ever, and the more I licked, the better it got. And, it turns out this slightly older lady is the owner of this shop. Treat the ladies nicely. Show an interest in them, their culture, and humor is always good. Love the ladies of Chiang Mai!

I got a very similar experience from a massage shop on LK. Just back from a 1500 km motorcycle ride, I was in the market for a nice massage and walked in. What followed a tremendous massage was a fantastic BBBJTC.

In 2018 and '19 went to Loi Kroh with a friend whose been here longtime and very famliar with many ladies there.

We went to a few bars where he knew the female owners.

The ladies at all these could be bar fined, the owner at 1 at least was also available for get togethers.

Drinks were reasonable, I was surprised. Perhaps $3 USD or less for hard liquor.

(But Do NOT enter a Karaoke Bar which are all clip joints).

I never took one home and don't know what the rates were.

Some bars could have a back room or an upstairs for hanky panky. Perhaps only for customers they know well.

Like Beach Drone, I prefer the MP's.
