Sorry Arthur, Islandboy and I have good experiences there and we share them with everyone on here, which is the purpose of a forum!

I have been to the Bamboo benches massage place 3 times in 10 days, with 3 different ladies, and have had one HJ for 550 Baht (gave 600) and two BJ for 800 Baht all in, inclusive massage. This is true to my experiences also.

BJ or FS for 500 baht, don`t believe it. This is the way the scene has gone in Chiang Mai and I have been absolutely correct in all my previous posts. I have noticed these try ons have steadily been extending to all the massage parlours over the last year.

What I suggest to save disappointment when visiting these massage parlours is to first decide what you want and expect and then ask the girl what she is willing to do and for how much before actually going in for the massage. This will save wasting your time and money.

Now, did you offer your lady 500 Baht all in, of 500 for any "extra"? If you offered 500 all in, yes, I can only wish you good luck. 550 Baht (250 for massage and 300 for HJ) , with the expectation of a tip (making 600 all in) is the minimum that they would expect.

I was there again 2 days ago. The name of the lady was Cat. Paid the same as for my previous visits. 800 Baht all in for massage and a very nice BBBJ. Very successful indeed.

While cheap HJ / BJ are always a hit and miss at the Loi Kroh massage places, I can only confirm that the massage place with the bamboo benches, on Khampangdin road (left hand side of "My shop" laundry) offer really good value for money, at least for Chiang Mai.

All the ladies there offer HJ / BJ and FS. On top of the 250 Baht oil massage, you can easily get a HJ for 300 Baht, BJ for 500 Baht and FS. I think a little on the expensive side- for 1000 Baht.

Some words of warning about those street girls:

Quite a lot of them are filthy, and I don`t mean their sexual exploits in bed. Many carry diseases, TB, STDs, herpes, HIV and aids or have drug and mental problems, can have head lice and scabies. These can be the rejects that the bars won`t employ. Some are under-age, although may not look it, and there are plain clothes police in the area, sometimes even disguised as Tuk Tuk drivers waiting to pounce on some naive Farang if he picks one up.

Even the well seasoned mongers that I know would not go near them. It is possible to walk out of your hotel and pick one up within minutes, mostly during the late hours. Some will settle for only 300 baht for FS, but I wouldn`t risk it, not for free or even if they paid me.

Indeed, this is golden advice, always worked for me as well. Name the fair price you want to pay, with a smile, and if she doesn't take it, walk away, and come back round after a while. It keeps the prices down, and also maintains the happy illusion that, once price is out of the way, you're just two people doing what you both enjoy. Freelancers need money more than we need poon.

Negotiation always spoils the mood for me, and asking a girl "how much" is basically inviting her to name a price that is higher than going rate, in order to give herself space to negotiate. Worse yet, firmly negotiating her down leaves little or no expectation of a tip in case service is good. So there's less incentive to be nice.

The one that has the 2 bamboo benches, I got quoted 350 baht for an oil massage and 700 baht for a HJ by some miserable looking girl and that was before I went in. The last time I visited the Lets Relax, the oil massage was only 150 hr but the girl asked for 1000 baht for a HJ and then dropped to 700 baht when I declined, but I gave it a miss anyway. The Lets Relax massage has become a dead loss and the staff now mainly concentrates on the fish spa and foot massage part of the business, although I believe they still do the Thai and oil massages.

At the Darlie the girl quoted me 500 baht for a HJ but at the time I only wanted a massage. When I declined her offered the girl lost interest and my supposed 1 hour oil massage only lasted 35 minutes before the girl became completely bored and said; times up.

These are my recent experiences and if you are obtaining better results, than perhaps it`s because you are hansum man or as I get older I expect value for my money and don`t like coming across as being gullible.
