Now that the election is over bars at CEC can now stay open as late as they like.
No more having to walk the streets for street-meat!

IMHO, Raming Lodge is almost as nice as Tamarind Village, and slightly better located.

Yes, that's a nice new place, and certainly a good location. Shame it doesn't have a pool.
Not boutique though, if you want a boutique hotel you have two choices- Tamarind Village or Rachamanka.

Posts: 1600Really nice brand new Chiang Mai hotel
It's called the Raming Lodge. It just opened a few weeks ago. It's an upscale boutique hotel for 1200-1400 baht per night. No problem bringing guests, and it's in a superb location, on Loi Kroh road one block away from the bars at the corner near the Taphae gate, and around an 8-10 block walk to the Night Bazaar.
I just checked out of the Rydges Amora and moved to this place, because the Rydges wouldn't honor my 1400 baht ($36 US) rate from Precision Reservations when I wanted to extend my stay. They wanted to hit me for 2000 baht on the extended days. The Raming Lodge at 1200 baht is MUCH nicer, except that it doesn't have a swimming pool.

Spicy has now moved to Nice Illusion, and Nice Illusion is no more.
Checked out their re-opening last night; the new Spicy is as good as ever- great food as always, and most importantly, plenty of available chicks.

I have used the Top North Hotel on most of my stays. Good value, like 600baht a night. No charge for extra ladies.
Very close, directly next to, and across the street from 2 major entertainment venues. Nice pool, onsite massage and restaurant....
Give it a shot!

No direct flights from CM to HY, you have to change at Don Muang.

Duang Tawan, Rydges Amora, or Imperial Mae Ping.
I always use www.precisionreservations.com to book.

Hi all - I've looked through the thread and can find little or nothing about hotels in Chang Mai - can amyone recommend modest hotels - ideally reasonably central and with a swimming pool - possibly near the 'fun' areas - of course, guest friendly. Are all hotels guest friendly in Chang Mai? - the Riverside Lodge for example? Grateful for any information - name - proce - standard.
thanks very much
Steve

Is there any direct flight from Hadyai to Chang Mai? And if there is, how much will it cost me?
Thanks

So that's just three people; JXXXL, Thrillseeker and Coma Boy- what a quiet little town.
I expect we often see each other without knowing.

Point well taken. The transfer rate is the highest where un-protected sex is the norm, such as the truck drivers in India. BTW, India is on the road to become the largest HIV affected country.
Viagra does not break down resistance, but if one has anal sex the transmission rate is very high since the skin inside breaks easily and becomes the conduit to the virus. So the more V one takes, the longer the session, and more chance to contract the disease.
HIV is probably not on the rise in BKK/Pattaya scene but in Northern Thailand the lack of education, is contributing more. However, the complacency of certain mongers just scares the hell out of me. They think that now there are medicines available, it's just another STD which can be cured. They need to know the virus is mutating and there are now quite a few number of strains and not all of them have medicines available.
Time to move this topic off to the Safe Sex section.

Please, please move it to the relevant section.
