Posts: 187After living in Chiangmai (Thai spelling) /CM for a year.
I've have a suggestion the will probably "floor" many of you!
IMO, never considered CM, even in the remotest sense, a "mongering" destination so If you have the time, of course, and have a "smattering" knowledge of the Thai language (or are fortunate enough to find (a) Thai girl / woman or girls / women who have some knowledge of English).
1. Purposely avoid the venues where there is no other option other than exchanging money for sex!
2. THEN. Make an attempt NOT to "pay for it". Using politeness, charm, smiles, flattery. Dating activities. Whatever it takes to emotionally "befriend" someone!
AFTER ALL. If one fails one can ALWAYS pay for it and, IMO, you're better off than when you started because, after all, you did try!
Perhaps you do have some worth other than just to be thought of as nothing but a "walking wallet"!
Cheers!

I will visit Chiang Mai in May for approx. 8 days.
Does anybody know, if there are any BJ Bars like Lollitas or massage places like tulip or mango?
When I'm back, I will report!
Thanks

Posts: 10610 days in Chiang Mai
I recently spent about 10 days in Chiang Rai, mainly with work, so mongering was not top priority and had to be discrete. First thing I noticed was how much busier the bars off of Loh Kroy Road near the boxing ring were compared to my last visit 18 month's ago. As usual a big range of girls from 3's up to 8's, but overall quality seemed higher than on my previous visits. The bars had many more customers as well. This may have been time of year (last time I was in town was just after the floods) or the fact that the boxing now seems to be on more nights of the week. Maybe it is just tourist high season. I found a shy 24 yo from Chiang Rai and had a couple of nice sessions in a short time hotel, nice breasts even though she had had a kid. I also found a 21 yo (from Sisiket I think) in a beer bar nearer the moat (Number 1? Down a little Soi) and had some fun there too (the girls here are rarely barfined, or seem to be looking for it, but most them are pretty average to be honest). Neither were very experienced and both were shy, but kinda sweet if you like that kind of thing. Didn't do much else, but noticed that the bottom end massage place opposite what was Guitarman (now the "Bear Bar") had gone and has perhaps become an Aussie Bar.
I like Chiang Mai. As has been said many times before, it isn't the scene you find in BKK or Pattaya or even Samui, it's more like Udon Thani but spread out more.

People who start their posts 'Today I visited XYZ MP and." provide useful information. Locals who rarely visit MPs and dine out vicariously on the stories of their local mates seldom.
Add to the body of information for the tourist of today.
Thank you for your interest; I hope soon to read of an actual experience at a real MP. I will certainly add my bit in due course.
Happy sunsets

I am by no means suggestion they avoid these places altogether, only to be a little cautious, that`s all. It`s good to be pre-armed with some knowledge, rather than go in blind and vulnerable.
So what`s your problem.

Funny how you think you can escape serious discussion with unfounded suggestion that I am "an irate business owner" with a feeble justification for that suggestion.
If you don't visit the places in which I am interested for my up-coming visit perhaps you would allow others with more helpful comments to post.
Go sup you beer and admire the view.

I still suspect you as being an irate business owner, because I cannot see the purpose of your comments until you have tested the water and will continue to do so, unless you cough up with the goods.

And you can forget your ridiculous suggestion that I might own a MP. Difficult to do if living in Eurpoe.
