Sorry pals, everything I get here (and from other sources) tells me that Pattaya has its share delicious pussy and good times for a smart dude! I'm headed there next month for the first time. Need to know what to expect from the weather in Aug&Sept and if it's overloaded with American tourists. Also could use some recs of slightly better class hotels with ac and good lockup to keep such things as a lap and camera, etc.

you do the corect thing. never carry more than you would need in one night. $100.00 or 4200 BHT is more than enough for one night. I also travel with atm cads, and visa cards but leave them locked in A safe with my passport.
