You would find more amateur / natural freelancers around Phuket Town.

Ones looking for less of a drink and leave experience I would say.

But there would be fewer of them too.

The other option is to stay southern end of Phuket in Rawai.

Plenty of freelancers there, and the bar and drinking culture is a lot gentler than the Patong Bangla Road experience.

I also tried out 3 massage girls. I have very fond memories of Patong massage girls past. But not from this trip. I've always complained that it's hard to find petite, pretty, young massage girls in Bangkok, but it's harder still in Patong. My first massage girl was pretty enough, but insisted on covering up and gave a terrible HJ, while complaining about how long it was taking (even thought that was largely her fault). You are right about that. Never pay money in advance for extras at regular massage shops. It can only make the service worse and takes away their motivation.

The closest I've ever got was to show I actually had the money on me to some paranoid girl who claimed to have been cheated by somebody taking off without paying before.

I was in Patong a few weeks ago and sampled the goods. I might have just gotten unlucky, but it felt like it has gone downhill in quality (but not necessarily quantity).

I tried Tinder and it was surprisingly difficult to find girls to come see me. The selection was quite poor. One girl asked for taxi money in advance was probably trying to scam me. Another completely lied about her looks. Most girls are fairly honest when you ask how much they weigh, but this girl was off by more than 10 lbs. Her pictures looked filtered and also about 10 years old.

I've often had girls propose 1000, but I've almost never had a girl turn down 500 B if I stuck to that price (as I always do). So I just had a regular massage, which was fine.

I also visited the Phuket nuru places (two locations). Seems to be 1500 baht for BJ / HJ and body-to-body. But neither had any doable girls available. But that might just depend on the day / time. Maybe the pretty girls were already upstairs with a customer.

I did walk around the Bangla bars and saw a few cute girls. But I was wary due to reports that many or most just want lady drinks and don't barfine. I found one really cute one, but she said the barfine is 1000 and her fee is 3000. I declined.

I do think it's possible to have a lot of fun in Patong. It's entirely possible that I just got unlucky and didn't have the right approach. But I vote with my feet and I will skip Patong next time. I have so much more fun in Bangkok and Pattaya and other many places. Also, the prices of almost everything else (taxis, food, etc.) are higher in Patong than they should be.

There's plenty on mongering to do there. In fact you don't need any fancy special places. You can just go down the street and choose.

Phuket, Patong in particular is amazing. Simply primed for all sort of action.

Going back in a couple of weeks. Last time I was there was October and it was every corner all over the place.

On Koh Yao Noi there are NO lays of the land.

No massage extras.

No bars / gogo's.

And likely no freelancers, as I've never seen or heard of any.

It's definitely a bring your own (from Phuket) environment.

Finally made it to Kathrine's Massage in Phuket town.
Old location, on the phone he said 2. 3 K walk in he said would be 2. 5 K / 90 minutes.
Funny, all is still there, same as pre-Covid, but very quiet. They have some bar outside now.
No girls on site very quiet, he called one in I could choose.
She arrived within 10 minutes and she was nice enough, friendly, slim, body 7-8 face 6-7, not the very youngest.
We had a very nice session, she was up to pretty much anything without fail.
It could have been a tiny bit more passionate overall, but again very nice session.
I do like Kathrine's I tried Angel massage next door pre-COVID, which was not as much girl friend experience as Kathrine's.
Ventured into Angels next door, they had 10 girls in the fishbowl at least 5 where OK 2 K or 2. 2 K / 1 hour.
One girl was 2. 5 K / hour apparently fresh from BKK.
Angel does not have room on site, you have to go across to short term hotel, where the room has a big tub.
Sow another massage place advertised across, did not investigate.

An interesting model with no girls on site.

Sounds to me that they have girls on call, positioned and working elsewhere, likely in other shops they own / manage.

Personally I was not a fan of Katehrines before, it was good, but I preferred Nuru Massage in Patong.

Tho, the pricing and duration make an interesting comparison that favors Katherines if sex is a must for you.

Nuru Massage is 1500 baht for 45 minutes, everything pretty much except sex, with sex (if she offers) a 1000 baht add on, total 2500 baht.

Katherines is 2500 baht for 90 minutes including sex, so double the time.

I wonder is Katherines one shot and you're done?

At Nuru, I've often tried and got two shots away, the first a BBBJ to completion, sometimes CIM, in the session starting shower fun.

But, I have to take control of the session and lead heavily for that to happen.
