Kamala is also now very alive and kicking in Phuket.

I was there both at night and during the day in the last week.

The bar area along Pa Chak Road had many a nice looking lady, and the bars on the main road were looking good too.

The massage area along Rim Hat Road and Pa Chak Road was looking excellent with 15 plus shops open with quantity and quality of girls.

I even stopped and enjoys two tasty FS massages during my visit there.

In my opinion its best for the punter traveling with a wife and family.

It is close to but outside Patong and more alive than Kata / Karon which are still recovering.

I like a woman for a night or two and the GFE. I see some who really like the 5000 baht gogo girl for short term. I'd much rather have a decent but not necessarily great looking 40 year old for two days.

I'm on day 4 with a harem girl. Went to rawai for dinner and drinks. Stopped at Laguna complex played pool and ended up a bay hill club.

Her normal price for BF is 1 k for the bar plus whatever you both agree. Since I took her away from the bar for 5 days. The bar charged 3 k per day. Normal 1 k plus 2 k worth of drinks the girl can bring to the bar daily. So it cost me 15 k for 5 days to the bar. I will probably give her another 15 k for her 5 days 24/7.

I am sure a lot of people are going to say 30,000 or US $1000 is too much. But in my opinion I am sure you had a lot of fun for $1000 - kudos to you.

Ranong has a scene near the waterfront, but its small.

In Phuket, Karon is still dead, Kata is alive and so is Kamala.

As is Chalong near the pier.

Phuket Town really is nothing for non Thai.

North around Surin, Bang Tao, etc has pockets, but no quantity or quality, unless you're chasing freelancers, then give Boat Avenue a look.

Its Patong pricey, Rawai good, then Chalomg / Kamala / Kata.

So it sounds like the most action is around Phuket Town, Patong, and Rawai. Any ideas about the other places? I'm hoping to get a resort in a quiet beach like Kata or Karon or Surin and wondering what's the action like there. If its poor then I would probably have to get a taxi or Grab to one of the other areas.

Any ideas about the wilder north parts too like Ranong where the hot springs are? It would be amazing to get a nuru after or a hot spring soak but I think there's almost no chance of that happening.

If your priorities are Beaches and P4 P, in that order, then Kata and Karon are okay. The nightlife / girlie bar scene is much stronger in Patong, so if that's your top priority then that's where you should head.

There are at least a half dozen places on Kade Kwan Rd. (Kata) open for rub and tug and maybe more (not my thing, haven't tried). All of 'spiderman' St is open now and looks good for takeout. Plus there are a few other sketchy (in the good way) places scattered around the sois here and there. There are a bunch of beer bars open in the complex behind Luang Phor Chuan Rd at the southern end of Karon. I've only walked through, but it's Thailand. They're not very subtle about what's up. It can be slim pickins' at times, but as always there's a gem or two hidden in the mix. Also right now, given the "situation" in Europe and nearing the end of high season, they are hurting for customers. Foot traffic, much of which was Russians, is noticeably lighter here in Kata.

I walked past Harem a few times when in Phuket however never went in.

At that price what is the quality of the girls? They would want to be "InstaHo Hot".

The girls aren't any better than other clubs. They may think they are.

It's all about making money for the club.

Even if you pay the BF they can not leave until midnight.

The club wants you to buy them Lady drinks.

The price for the girls after the BF is 4-6 K. The total you are looking at 5-8 k when it's all said and done.
