Short answer is there's not much, and what is their is pricey for the quality.

Its low season there now, and it gets even sleepier.

There are a few bars and massage shops on Chai Hat Bang Niang Road, about 2 kms north of town centre.

These have been good at times in season last March, but not sure now.

Also have a look at Star Biker Bar in that same area.

If you're a handsome rooster and not too old, try Gecko Bar for a pickup, its a hangout place for Thais and low rent western traveler girls.

Thanks for your advice Axel H and Sinfully Korean. Pattaya will be our choice of where to go for the 4 night side trip! Glad there is still plenty of talent. I like your breakdown Axel of each city. I am not a huge fan of the soapies as I found out it too mechanical (lets choose and go right in to shag, no repoire building). But, I do like Soi 6 and the Gogos on WS. I really liked pulling from Ibar and Insomnia, but I understand they are closed now.

Pattaya aint back in business.

50% gogobars in WS are CLOSED. And the once that are open don't have costumers (so no vibe).

Pinup / Windmill / Farenheit are doing oke. Tantra? Some days yes, some days not.

Soi6: Mainly ugly and / or old ladies now.

Ibar / Insomnia ARE open. But most birds in iBar are 40+ year old ladies who work Soi New plaza before (as an example).

TreeTown? LOT of noise / lights. But 80% of the bars don't have costumers. Just ladies.

Kink LK Metro is doing fine. The others I visit are empty.

I was there June 23th till July 10th. Would consider that recent.

Can you still have fun? Of course. Its just harder to find entertainment and good looking birds.

Carnation seems to cater to foreigners. It strives to be a high quality, low volume kind of place. It is not far from the other places, but is in an area all by itself. The price is also higher than other places in the area (though cheaper than Christine's in Patong).

Monalisa and Colonze seem to be equal opportunity: while looking at the line up I've seen solo westerners, had a nice chat with a group of guys from Mumbai, and seen a few Thai men. Everyone was welcome. That said, make sure you know the price going in. They may try to charge more than 1500 if they think you are new. They have pushed 2000 baht but quickly back down when I say it was 1500 baht.

Kiss, located a few doors up from Monalisa seems to cater to Chinese tourists. The touts usually ignore me as I walk by but I have heard them call out in Chinese when they see Asian men approaching. There is also a sign in Chinese.

Another pleasant surprise. Phuket City has come back to life. Carnation Massage is one of my favorites. They only have 5-6 girls working at a time, but compared to MPs in Patong, the talent is young and cute and well trained. The price is higher at 2500 baht, but the rooms have tubs and service includes some nice time in the bath. There is some turnover here, I rarely see girls stay more than a few weeks but I think the turnover is nice.

In the area around the old Latherine's Massage and Escort (still on Google maps) several MPs have opened on Saturday night Monalisa, Kiss, and Colonze (no obvious link to Colonze in Bangkok) each had 8-10 girls in cute outfits out front and a couple of touts who try to get you to walk in. Once inside they will have the girls line up for you. Monalisa had about 15 girls some very very cute, each wearing their own sexy outfit. The price is 1500 and includes a shower.

Given the distance from Patong, I probably wouldn't make the trip just to visit these places, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood they are several cuts above the MPs in Patong.

I haven't found anything like FIWFans for Phuket, but there is an alternative. If you put "sideline Phuket" in a translation program you will get a phonetic translation in Thai. Put that in Google and you will results from Twitter with similar ads. Typically the ads will have Line IDs so you can contact them. These are targeted at Thai men so the response rate is pretty low and many won't agree to meet foreigners or will demand payment up front. Some of them are actually for a person who manages ads for several girls. They can usually help you find what you are looking for though you will need to translate everything into Thai. My experience, despite the hassles, was generally good but I don't use it anymore because it is more work for me than TF.
