Make sure you know the situation with immigration since 4 hours is a bit tight. Check if there is many arrivals around yours and look if HKT offers express service for a fee like BKK that is possible to go for a massage 1-2 hours. Good luck!

How does one reach Katherine from Patong beach? What's the round trip fare for a taxi or bus?

I would recommend taking a taxi for speed and safety unless you are willing to drive motorbike by yourself. Compromise would be motorbike taxi there is slow travel buses that will take you to nearby area in Phuket town. Avoid tuk-tuk unless you know how to deal with them.

I found this on something called internet:
