Your whole report is consistent with my observations in various parts of Thailand. Many bars with 3-10 ladies and few customers. Most of the women do not look good enough to bar fine, they may go days between making any money. It's a sad economy.

I doubt that saving money is part of these bar girls’ mindsets.

I have no idea how these places can make money. 1 woman told me 300 for barfne and pay her whatever I wanted. She said she was 28 but she looked older and wasn't very attractive.

My guess, and it's just a guess, is that whoever owns the space rents it out for very cheap bc it's a bad location. The women stay there for free and get a bit of tips or occasional customer. But really are just barely getting by. They can't be saving any money. I bet they go some nights with no customers.

No real point to this just my random experience and thoughts.

If anyone has been recently to Phuket please throw some light on the overall mongering scenario due to the ongoing virus scare.

1) are freelancers still working? Have their terms and conditions become more lenient?

2) are hotels creating any problems in getting freelancers to the room.

3) are people wearing masks in gogo bars and other related places?

Is the scene same as how it was before the corona scenario or has it lost its charm?

Checked out diablo with a friend. Beers were 190 and LD 260. Both beers and LD are more expensive than the other go go. By 1 am on a weeknight the place was empty. Don't see a point in coming back here to pay more when the girls aren't better.
