    Midnight or later.

If it was quiet, were the girls still there?

The best bar is at the very back, Pleasure Dome.

Freelancers mainly start to come in after 10 pm.

If you want to know more, please send me a PM.

I second this. It's amazing how many people write questions on booking.com and google (and presumably also by email) in monger slang like "girl-friendly" or "guest-friendly" and get back nonsensical responses like "Yes sir, our staff are very friendly to guests" or "We warmly welcome both male and female guests."

    Bangla hotspot

Not trying to speak for ThaiGoodTimes here, just my take.

The locals, especially the business owners, are hyper Covid aware. There's been a lot of talk in the Thai media about outbreaks / hotspots in Bangla venues and the locals, at least here in Kata, are all a twitter about it. The boys in brown are putting the hairy eyeball on things there too. I've tried to find the same reporting in English but had no luck. In any case I read "hotspot" to mean Covid hotspot not hooker hotspot. Interpret that as you wish.

    Bangla best to avoid.

Because Bangla, and quite a number of the bars along it, have been identified as the source of a covid uptick in Phuket.

Over the week leading up to my comment, some 30 cases, and 10 bars had been identified.

For short term visitors, aka tourists, not a great situation to find yourself in if you catch it there.

    And now personally.

I'm at home isolating, waiting out the covid incubation period to have another covid test done.

My first test was negative when done after two days, so now waiting to retest on day five.

A diving tourist customer of mine, has tested positive, a week after arriving, so they most likely caught it here.

And it seems they were frequenting Bangla right after arrival.

Am I likely to have it? No.

But I can't risk giving it to others and getting a bad business name here.

Would I go back to Bangla? Yes.

But I'd be very careful there.

Something most visitors, working girls, freelancers, and workers in bars, etc, aren't.

Some bars I've been last with nice afternoon and early evening talent sitting our front.

One More Night bar near fat boy's bar.

Doozy bar and off shore bar, near halfway Inn restaurant.

Also, a brand new bar, no name opposite doozy bar.

Then walk further along to Pantina bar.

Add in Mango bar as well along there.

Well worthy of a visit to check it out..

I cannot attest to how they operate in Phuket, but would be suprised if they had an issue with guests being brought in.

BTW. This is in no shape or form a criticism of "ThaiGoodTimes". His posts are amazing on Phuket and have helped me and several others on this forum. Kudos to you brother.

I brought up this point merely to see what other people have experienced at Accor group hotels because I would consider staying at one in Phuket.
    No criticism taken MaxBkk.

I do speak from experience tho, as in the past I've had restrictions placed on me by a lot of these upper market places in Patong.

Even being grilled by them when returning at night with my Thai girlfriend, who was actually registered on the room.

Ban Lamai for one, and also Grand Mercure both back in 2016.

In those days many of these hotels promoted themselves as family friendly hotels and didn't want to be seen as part of the seedy side of Patong as they saw it. These days, post covid, they don't have the family types filling them, so they might well be more relaxed on things.

Are short time hotels in Patong open?

Where can rent a room for an hour or two near Bangla?

Pre COVID R-Mar did not charge a joiner fee. It was a good place, but they did not allow your overnight visitor to have the breakfast buffet with you. If you register your girl for your entire stay, she can have breakfast with you.

The only other problem was that the shower was awkward. It was a large bathtub, not a walk in type of shower.

    Thanks.

Cant vouch for post Covid but a couple years ago I stayed at the RMar and recommend highly. Nice little boutique hotel very near Bangla but tucked away and quiet. Quite girl friendly.
I agree it's better to write the hotel and ask precisely if they charge a joiner fee when you bring a girl to your room at night. Some hotels only allow one girl during all your staying provided you book a double (and usually check-in together), some hotels allow to bring different girls to your room provided you book a double, and some hotels allow you to bring different girls at night and don't require you to book a double occupancy.

As for are-Mar, I read in another forum that they charge a 500 bht joiner fee.

    Nanai Road in Phuket

The bars on Nanai Road are picking up.

Some of the best young to late 20's talent I've seen.

Especially given I first saw them at only 4 pm in the afternoon.

Four points and grand Mercure will have joiner fees or ban it.

Basically anything / that is part of a larger worldwide chain will not allow joiners.

They may however tolerate it for a fee.
