- good AC (in my room at least).

- water pressure is nonexistent (biggest gripe).

- very helpful staff, good breakfast options, some understand / speak pretty good English. Big plus.

- they call when you have a guest to send her / him up, and call after the guest leaves that everything is OK. Dunno if they take the girl's ID.

4/5 considering the location (like 1 min to Bangla Road, my room was silent from the untzuntz), general quality and price.

Not fancy, but good enough for 1 week stay and / or if you just want to drag in girls from BR.

Was at Karon Beach for approx a week but was "family holiday" so options and time was limited.

Just wanted to update my view and pose an important question to me.

I was in the area and looked around mostly connected to watching EPL. The business looks really bad for the small sois now (the few that remain) and the bars having location further in which wasn't the case my first trips 2008 and 2011. The latter had started to move towards larger venues and now it is my view the bar scene is struggling in a sense and the shift is happening in Patong as well towards families and other type of tourists. No clue and I am inexperienced with Bangkok and Samui and just had one non punting visit to Pattaya. If anyone can report on the other clusters in Patong please do so! That said if you never been to Bangla and like the bigger club venue style you will still have a blast. Maybe I am just getting old? Haha I hope not.
