Hey all,

I have rtff but want to ask what hotels in patong are girl friendly. Not for the sandbox program just normally. Is it an issue at all or not. The Austrian garden seems expensive for what it is. What abou the four points or grand mercure hotels?

Looking at March so far, hopefully Thailand opens up a bit more, and can stay 3 mths. Would be fun to get a group together and dive during day and hit places up during night. Some of us did some of this for nearly 10 days straight back when Pattaya was still in prime.

It breaks things up a bit, not to mention then, my instructor was a cute brit gal, and the gal she was training to be an instructor was nice as well. . dam that was fun. Need more.

For diving, January through end March and early April is the best.

Whereas it's a good time for girls here in Phuket all the time.

With covid in play diving and partying is a lot more sedate these days.

Most of the party spots are where covid is easily caught and spread.

And diving boats can also spread it quite easily.

So diving professionals aren't partying like that much anymore, and are also quite wary of certain customer groups.

You may find dive boats, and dive businesses asking you to refrain, or even provide a test.

As getting on dive boats or any boats at the piers is requiring temperature scans, vaccination certificates, or recent test results.

Sadly, it's a different world these days.

I'm a PADI qualified instructor with a dive business in the south of Phuket (Chalong / Rawai).

And of course I'the be happy to pass on to you any punting tips to help you get wet going down on terra firma too.

Just to check my understanding for someone planning first visit to Thailand.

1) for a trip in early 2022 the Thai year will be 2565, so a legal age woman will be one born in 2546 or earlier (or if 2547 the month / day has to be earlier in the year than current date).

2) the card also gives birth gender. With "Mr" being the red flag.

I'm considering being fairly active at checking IDs when I get there, partly for age (nosiness as well as over 18) and also gender (even a 1 percent chance I'd got it wrong would play on my mind. Perhaps I need to lighten up).

The plan is basically say "you look so beautiful, I'd like to take you home but I want to check you're 18. " then diffuse the situation by pretending I can't read Thai dates anyway and haven't just seen she's over 30. Does that sound good?

Their Thai ID Cards also have their birthdate and year written in western dates.

Yes, it is what you think. And yes, I did check her ID. ISG weirdly removed my parenthesized exclamation point from the post, which I think would have made it a little bit more subtly obvious. Another girl in a massage shop told me she started working early as well.

I have met a few girls from Phuket and Surat Thani in Bangkok that are now say 20 and when asked how long they have been working in the business say 3 or 4 years. I guess in the freelance areas they use fake ID's.

I personally always check their ID's if they look younger than 20.

All hotels around there are girl friendly.

Well I'd like to keep her for myself as much as possible till I leave, so I'll post details once I'm back home. I found her on TF, but looks like she deactivated her profile. Got to say I'm very happy to have found her. She's happy, honest and not damaged by the harsh reality of existence here despite her having had some not so good experiences with farangs a few years ago.

Think new rules are 10 day q if unvax? And 1 day test and go if Vax? Hard to keep track. Not vexed, and wondering if worth trouble? Sounds like Bars 50% open? Massage etc? Mask indoors and outdoors? Looking for a 2-3 m stay. But not if there is little to no fun. At this point, what I would give for an old fashioned soapy or ping-pong. Been way too long. Appreciate the reports. Thank you.

If not vaxed, you will need to quarantine. Masks are required outdoors and indoors unless you are eating or drinking. However, I saw a lot of tourists ignore it.

The bars there, and the girls are pricier than elsewhere in Rawai, as they're paid a salary quite often.

The problem resolved itself. I found a cute and happy little 18 y / o to play with. GFE doesn't even begin to describe it.
