I loaded a map earlier for someone showing where in Rawai.

That area would have 30 plus operating massage shops that are full on naughty.

And it is where all the bar girls (who currently can't work as bars are closed) are still hanging around.

I can only confirm what has been written.

I am in Phuket for a week now and my report is the following:

1- Karon: desertland or Tchernobil today.

2- Patong: Christine massage is down during Covid period while some others are open.

3- Phuket city: It is not the best mongering place on earth. The red light district (where are Katherine, New Angels and others) looks like a no go zone. So sad.

4- ThaiFriendly: excellent contact despite the fact I do not agree to subscribe 25 $ for a month. The limit for stingy man like me is: 1 message every 10 minutes. I stayed at the Andamantara. Hotel was resort style up a cliff. Three ways to get my room. 'Internal' through reception and past the bar and pools, walk up the steep as fuck road, or jump in the oncall pickup truck bus to get up to the room.

First night, as soon as my covid test results came through (take a note of the website on the counter at the airport, it's where you can check your results yourself. I'm not surprised that your hotel was willing to back off its rules. I just didn't want to take the chance with so much fun on the line. I stayed in Bangkok my last visit and my hotel was not supposed to be guest friendly, but they never said anything. I got some dirty / confused looks, but they never said anything. In Berlin, I asked the guy on night shift if I could have someone come for a "massage." he said they weren't supposed to let me, but he wouldn't say anything when he was working. My top 2 choices were negative, and I haven't heard back from most of the others. I'm wondering if you verified having visitors because it seems hotels have changed their policies due to covid.

Hotel was OK with guests taking scooters up to their rooms, but not cars - I've never driven a scooter in my life, so rainy season in Phuket wasn't my intention to start. May be a way around the joiner fee/walk if you can ride one.

So, what hotels say and what you can get away with can be very different. This is Thailand as the expats say. Maybe I got away with a lot because I was literally the only Farang in the hotel the first week. (Only one stupid enough to go all in on getting there July 1st!

I'm still in a Phuket sandbox group (Phuket Sandbox. Better Phuket by I Asia, good source of Information on the ever changing rules and situation) and the reality on the ground seems ever-changing, different rules and regulations coming out every day, and all hotels having a different understanding and implementation of them.

TF is ThaiFriendly. Most girls that I've spoken to on TF are freelancers. Very small sample size, but the few girls I've spoken to opened around 3 k ST, negotiable very readily to 2.5 k. LT varied widely from 4 k to 6 k+ to sometimes just not available at all or highly discouraged. I've only messaged girls on TF that I consider to be extremely attractive, as I usually prefer higher quality for outcalls, and I'm sure others could find better deals.

A few days ago I drove over to Phoonpon Road around 8 pm to see what was up and hopefully try out a soapy massage. All the large massage shops were closed (Katherine's etc) as I drove around. The atmosphere was pretty bad as the immigration police appeared to be rounding up families (maybe Burmese workers?) and having them sit outside in rows for whatever reason. New Angel massage had some men sitting outside (not sure if they were actually affiliated with the store but I assume so since the lights were on). The men said that the massage store was closed due to covid by government order but they had a couple of girls on call. The choices were not the most appealing but I was interested to see the setup so I figured why not. The man messaged the girl, and led me by scooter down the block to a hotel (Piano Resident). Met the girl who took me up to the room. The room looked clean (though we dimmed the lights), had AC, a big mirror, and a nice elevated bathtub.
