Trying to decide again if I should try Patong for a few days. Since I am mainly a gogo guy I guess it really comes down to one question for me. I recently visited Phuket with my girlfriend. Travelling with her, mongering was never on my agenda. We did walk the Patong Beach road and Rat-you-thit road often. Never once was I offered sex, perhaps because of my company. Even the Bangla street peddlers gave us a fairly wide berth.

I really didn't know how to react. Pretty soon my original masseuse returned and resumed the massage. The commotion wasn't lost on my GF who asked me what was going on. "Errmm. Nothing darling. I think she took a restroom break" I said. I'm currently in Patong and spent a couple of days here. And I must say that I'm severely disappointed.

In the bars, the girls are of poor quality. I've been checking most bars at Bangla but actually none caught my real interest.

The girls standing at Bangla are most likely not girls but ladyboy, which I'm not into.

I've visited most gogo bars (exotica, Suzy Wong, harem) and though it's fun to see some girls dance topless or nude, even there the quality was poor.

Now I don't want to sound arrogant but it's just my opinion. Either poor dents, full time covered in tattoos, chubby or top much cosmetic surgery.

I was hoping for more regular girls, like 20 yo, not those very experienced die-hard veterans that I see everywhere.

So if anyone has some good advice, please let me know. Or else I just have to accept that Patong doesn't offer what I look for.

Chang Pool & Club and Bangkok Residence. I don't remember exactly where in my research it suggested that these two places are where FLs converge after hours, but after checking in a number of days, I don't see it. Never seen a good crowd. The few girls that are not paired aren't attractive nor do they seem to care.

Tai Pan. After 3 am the crowd does fill up a bit. Maybe it's the location or the set-up, but the FLs in Illuzion definitely have a much higher quality than Tai Pan.

Picked up a Viet girl from Illuzion for 3 K. Standard FS fare and stayed until 7 am. These girls don't seem very interested in foreplay. Just get to the FS and be done with it.

I went walkabout in Phuket City waiting for Katherine's happy hour to start. In the 3 street section where Katherine's sits in, there's probably about 10 massage places. Pretty large operations, too, based on the building and signage. Can't speak to what kind of service they provide. I can't imagine it being much different, but I'm guessing Katherine's gets talked about more here because of the happy hour?

Other than that, I saw no tourists and virtually no English signage. Granted my walkabout only spanned the streets between the roundabout where the shuttle bus dropped off and Katherine's, which is to say the streets of Bangkok Rd, Phoon Phon Rd, and Takuapa Rd.

Touts. Yeah they're everywhere. And yeah the choice of males or unattractive really don't seem to be tactically wise. But I just wave them away indicating no. Most get the hint. For those that don't and continue to talk to a moving brick wall, that's their problem.

Tai Pan. I admit I wasn't here at the right time (right around 1 am). FLs weren't out in force so I didn't stay long. From research I noted this place as a FL bar with no LDs, but that wasn't true. There are BG that run around, although admittedly they're the dancers (with short bob cut platinum blonde wigs) and are very obvious. I can see the appeal to some tourists. There's a mini dance floor with a dude who demos basic line dancing moves so it engages everyone. I didn't stay long enough for the bars to let out. Free entry.

Illuzion. A little bit of Vegas this side of the ocean. Nice energetic crowd. There's definitely a quality (and height) difference between those that stand by the entry way vs. Those that cluster around tables near the dance floor. Picked up a couple of girls and bounced over to Hollywood. Being led around isn't my preference, but I figured since I don't know the area, it was an opportunity to check the place out.

Hollywood. Tamer with a lounge-why feel. When I was there there was a live singer. The girls led me into the cordoned off area, which the deal I think was 700 THB for a tower of beer. In retrospect, that actually was a good deal when I consider most drinks at these places start at 200. For 3. 5 x that, you get a lot of beer (for me it wasn't about the alcohol, but negating the pestering for drinks) and a place to chill.

Ended up pulling a petite girl named Wan. Through hand gestures at the noisy club, agreed to 3.5 K. In retrospect, I should have heeded a previous post that said agree to ST first, then see if you want LT (although I'll have to figure out how to convey that more complicated contract within the context of a noisy club). What happened was after taking the girl back, she refused showering together, fingering, toys, blindfold, or anything beyond laying on her back. Her attempts at CBJ and CG were just enough to get me hard so she can resume the passive role. I've come to think of it as lazy sex. I wish I had a ST opt-out clause so I could get her out and go to sleep.
