I'm in Phuket for the first time next week and staying in Kamala. Are there any go go bars or pick up spots in Kamala? I know its a lot more sedate compared to Patong. The forums does mention a few bars but I can't find the names of any specific places. Any help will be appreciated as I'm on a really tight budget.

Been to Katherines in Phuket Town two times. Service is standard, the girls were polite and nice, but nothing special. The girls stay there for 3 weeks before returning to Bangkok or other places in Thailand, so difficult to recommend one. Price (2000 bahts happy hour from 17 to 19) is fair for Phuket.

I returned to Phuket after a 6 year hiatus and could not believe the amount of bar girls that now have breast implants. 6 years ago that was one way of telling if you were being chased by a lady boy. Not anymore! Also back in 2010 there was no fully nude dancing on stage, that's all changed as well. So the next leg of the journey is Patong for 3 days. Arrive Friday somewhat stuffed from the 3 days of excessive drinking and late nights in Karon. Went for a walk down Bangla Road about 8:30 and it's dead, I've read that it doesn't arc up till late but this was dead. Asked a guy about it and it's 3 days of mourning for the King. Fair enough. Had booked a ticket out to the islands for next day so early night was needed. Get back from the island tour so figure just a simple meal then maybe massage. So next day I'm Karon for three nights. When I travel I like to use the 3 day / night rule. After 3 days I'm usualy bored so time to move on. Have never seen or heard of any American or Canadian payable ladies in Phuket (if that's what you are looking for). Russian ladies; expect to pay more than double than Thai women, probably tripple.

I think the best place to look for blondes (tourists and a few working Russians) is The White Room nigntclub, especially on their VIP area, and at Seduction VIP area. And of course at the Russian agogos. But when going to Russian agogos you have to expect bad service and overpriced everything.

Hi all, first post on the Thai forum, I'm usualy a Melbourne monger. In Phuket for the rest of the week and yesterday was in Phuket city so just had to try out Katherines.
