Just for info, I have flown into this place before. It is about 45 minutes from Pattaya, so not really the "Pattaya airport".

Last visit on Phuket I have found a girl end we did great time for a few days. I don't like to bar fine, so I am trying to get then in street, Restaurants, shops etc. The best sex I had was in Samui-Lamai but the flights to samui is expensive and it has less fun then Phuket / Pattaya.

    A night in Patong

I had a night to myself on Phuket so decided to stay in Patong.

I wandered around Bangla to see what action was going on. It was around 10pm or so when I started. I went into a few a-go-gos to see what the girls were like, but didn't really stop in any but one.

My first stop was Diablo A Go Go.

It's kind of a small place. There were about four women on stage, all dressed with bikini tops and bottom. There were a few women who would come over and sit next to me without asking, then inevitably ask for a lady drink.

The prices for the lady drinks there were 160 THB. Singha beer for myself was 140. None of the women really interested me as they all seemed only interested in getting drinks so I left. But for the record, the bar fine was 600 and the short time rates quoted were 2000.

I headed out the west end of Bangla and turned right on the beach road. I came to a set of beer bars on the right called "Sunset bars". There were about half a dozen bars, but not all of them occupied by staff or customers. Most didn't have customers. I stopped at one bar called Classic Bar. There the girls were less demanding and more fun to talk to, but admittedly, not as good looking as the best of the girls in Diablo.

One girl that interested me was "One" (her name). She was very petite, I'd guess around 23 years old and had a bubbly personality, always laughing and smiling.

While sitting and having drinks with One, a man came up, looked at her, and was visibly angry. Some words were said between him and the cashier resulting in the cashier giving him some money.

One told me this guy came to the bar earlier and simply pointed at four different women and bar fined them, without ever talking to the women. He then took one of the girls back to his room, and was now returning ready to get the next one. He was angry because One was talking with me. So he was refunded his bar fine.

It was quite amusing. I ended up bar fining One for 300 plus 2000 long time. She was kind of a ding dong. Sex was okay, but nothing to write home about. I doubt I'd repeat.

Food: can't eat street food anymore, Patttya's "Central-festival" food floor has some great Buffet for Lunch. Does Phuket has its own Equivalent?
Patong has Jungceylon Shopping Mall. It is huge. I think it is bigger than Central Festival in Pattaya. I'm not sure if they have a food court type area like the basement level of Central Festival. There is also a Central Festival in Phukettown.

    Pattaya vs Phuket

I am planning my first Thai trip in the last week of September. I will there for 1 week and want to have fun with Thai girls. After reading thru the reports I decided either Phuket or Pattaya. I would like to settle down at one place for the whole week rather than traveling in between the trip. I am right now in favor of Phuket as after reading thru the forums I got the impression that Phuket is more relaxed and have younger girls, unlike Pattaya which is more business oriented and have women in mid 30's. My preferences for this trip in order are quality of girls (young and personality) , good Thai restaurants and some shopping. I am OK with paying premium prices if the quality (both girls and food) is better. In a high season I would have gone to Phuket as quality of girls will almost same every where. Being a low season I need some advice. Let me know if any of my impressions above are wrond and please suggest which one to go for on my first experience of LOS.

    Thanks!
When I lived in Bangkok, I met people that would go to Pattaya for the food. Well, these where married guys bringing their Thai wives. Whenever I'm in Pattaya, I don't find the food all that great. It's not to say there isn't good food in Pattaya, it's just that is not as obvious I suppose. During one trip, I was in the mood for Thai food, and it took me quite a while before I found something I liked. And now, I know people who live in Pattaya and go to Bangkok occasionally for the food.

However, I can find good food easily in Phuket (Patong, Karon, Kata.).

So for food, my personal opinion is that Phuket is better.

As for women, in both places, you can find a large variety of women.

When I first went to Pattaya, I didn't have a very favorable opinion of the place. That was back when Bangkok had a lot more to offer than it does today and I limited myself pretty much to beer bars. However, having been back to Pattaya many times since then and expanding to the a-go-gos, I can say there are plenty of 18-21 year old women there. In my opinion, it's not until they reach 25 that they become good.

Pattaya, I believe, have more a-go-gos than Patong, and they are cheaper. I would say the price of the a-go-go girls in Pattaya are comparable to the beer bar girls in Phuket. Again, you can find a range of women in either place. When I was in Patong last month, I didn't have any issues with the quality of women.

So, for quality, I would say you can find the same in either place, but Pattaya has more to choose from (especially in low season) , and is cheaper.

If your order of preference really is quality of women, followed by food and shopping, then I would say Pattaya. However, if money really isn't and issue and you want to do anything other than drink and take women, then I would recommend making Phuket your first trip to Thailand. Phuket has a lot more to do than Pattaya. You can take a day trip to Phi Phi or Similan Islands (although Similan may be closed this time of year). You can do some good SCUBA diving. The Andaman sea is much better than the Gulf of Thailand. Renting a motorbike and driving around the island is much more fun (and safer) than driving a motorbike around Pattaya.

My conclusion, if I were you, would be to go to Phuket.

This is sad, but to be honest, it could have been much much worse. Since this happened at 4am, and there were so many people "taking shelter from the rain", I'm worried that there will be yet another crack down on stricter closing times.

The fire appears to have nothing to do with the venue being closed or opened, but some people may demand "something be done" and since so many people were there when they shouldn't have been, it may create a renewed desired to close down earlier.

I was thinking of heading there in a couple of months.

    Silicon boobs

When I lived in London, I used to book many Thai escorts with silicon tits. I would like to ask you where I can find Thai girls with enhanced breasts in Phuket. Is there any particular gogo, club or place? Of course, I am not interested ladyboys. I will also post this query to the other forums, for the rest of places.

nowadays weather forecasts are so accurate and to the mile / hour. they even take into accoiunt different areas of an island if it is big enough to accomodate a few towns. both locations have an international airport and their accuracy is utmost. weather websites can track history and statistics through the year and can give so many information that even the old man of the village can't remember.

tropical areas are known to have t-storms in the late afternoon or evening. rain season might mean lots of rain for long time. do use the internet, it is good for so many infos (take them with common sense and do not run for medicine nobel prize on std with wikipedia and google tuition. do not forget that an island is more subject to winds, constant breeze, and sudden weather changes, especially a tiny one.
samui, having also elevated hills (can't call them mountains), is also more subject to the formation of t-storms due to the differential of temperature between sea-shore-inland, so different temperature front colliding into each other. nevertheless yo might see heavy t-storms uphill and nothing on the shore.

btw i was even wondering if bangla is full operating even if this is low season, or if i can expect something bad.

as a turistic matter, not related to mongering, most people say that in monsoon time ko samui can be better that phuket.

but thanks again for the answer.

If it is your first trip and you want the true flavor of pussy, action, bars, food, etc, you have to go to Pattaya. Phuket is more low key than Pattaya. It is also more expnsive if that matters to you.

I actually have not found the women in Pattaya to be in their mid 30's. Where? In the MP's?

Most Beach Road, Soi 6, and Gogo girls are in their 20's from my experience. But, I have only been their 8 times, so I don't know anything.
