I just signed up for diving course, paid around 15k baht for 3 day open water with Scuba Cat Divers. Also I know perhaps this topic isn't mongering related but I guess plenty of us in Phuket like me don't come here solely for mongering I would love to hear from other divers on recommendations for live a board trips. Thinking to do Similan for 3-4 days, and maybe around Krabi (Ko Lanta etc). I have a couple more weeks so want to make the most of it.

I did a 4 day live-a-board in the Similans in 2003, and had some excellent dives. But I would recommend you do it at the end of your trip to gain some more experience first, in order utilize the live-a-board trip better. Some dives out there can be demanding on a beginner. Also check if they require an Advanced Open Water first. I have not dived at Ko Lanta yet, but it's on my list. I had some good dives at Phi Phi in 2006. Around Krabi, like Ao Nang and Rai Lay an honest dive operator told me the visibility is quite poor.

Yeah wtf! In Pattaya the Government Savings Bank (at Tukcom) didn't charge. But I'm charged at every single ATM in Phuket.

As for the money comparison, jetski rental in Patong seems to be about 1000 for 30 min, but in Jomtien it was 700 baht. Laundry prices I understand because it's touristy. But what the girls want is sometimes shocking because I think you hit it dead on by saying MQ.

Hey Johnny. Not sure what you mean by cambio rates- u mean exchange rates? I am not sure as I haven't changed money here. In general everything here seems about 40% more though.

phuket also gives the impression that it can be a rough place. a bunch of white guys i've seen so far look like they've had their faces smashed in. most likely as a result from using the 'f' word inappropriately with the wrong thai people. in fact i heard one guy picked on the son of a politician and got stabbed to death. also had news of some tourist chick who got raped walking around the beach alone. so while i'm sure it's 99.9% safe, just be careful around here and keep your head above eye level.

you are right there, mate! was watching one episode of the bravo series ‘big trouble in tourist thailand’ the other night. part of it was about the jet ski mafia that run a scam where they claim old damage was caused by the current hirer and charge an extortionate repair bill. you don’t fuck with these guys – not if you value your life. they even stood their ground against a bunch of ‘hard as nails’ brit marines and still extracted a few thousand baht from the supposed culprit.

you don’t mess with thai guys anywhere in thailand but this applies doubly so in phuket and pattaya, where obnoxious foreign behavior patterns have created a situation where many thai men are confrontational and quick to resort to physical violence against perceived slurs.

oh..and think twice (or examine the thing extra carefully) before renting a jet ski in phuket.

You waisted your time going after the wrong nationalitles. I have been to phuket a few times adn the only 2 nationalitles (that I know of) which are really up for sex are Brits & Germans.
Take them to drink a little and they will surely follow you into the bedroom.
What worked for me? not even my looks but the fact that I am French. These girls were excited to be able to finally sample a french guy. So Maybe I got lucky.

Thanks Nic. LOL I suppose this is more of my standard review. British *****s and German sluts eh? Will keep an eye out. But I've had my fill of them living in Europe. So maybe I'm unconsciously pre-screening by how they look and going for the Scandanavian/EE look which to me is more appealing (except for the genetically fucked up Scandanavian 'elephant trunks' - notice how many have great faces/upper bodies and a wide lower body. Spot them a mile away especially around here). There's like 1 in 10 'normal' looking Scandanavian girl in this place. The russians also are way sub par to standard. I think we've seen like 4-5 decent looking russians who IMO would usually give me some time of the day if it was back

I am not sure if the Brits/German are 'easier' per se. Usually being asian (or part asian like me) ha1s its advantages too but here, the touts and ladyboys have entirely killed the 'exotic under the radar factor'.

It's pretty obvious as a asian/half asian person approaching a girl they seem to generally remain somewhat wary. I get less smiles / eye contact my way inviting me to go talk to them etc vs when I am say in their home countries (whether Scandanavia/Russia or whatever other skank country I used to cock in).

I have found this in Asia in general, even after it's obvious I'm a tourist I think white girls are just more familiar with white guys and probably 85% of them want white cock, from whatever country, in the first place. Just an observation. My personal interest detector from the limited exposure so far clearly indicates that.

But anyway I'll just keep seeing what's on the radar. If any further recommendations perhaps outside the Patong area I'd love to know. I heard there's a place with Russian/EE pros?

just a quick report on phuket thus far. we got here 2 days ago. the diving is fantastic, but the mongering is a dive. pun intended.

intro

the main area of phuket for action is patong. but that is where tourists like us frequent. i'm mainly here for the diving too which does help dampen the lack of quality pussy in the area. i can only comment on patong as its all i've seen thus far. i hear phuket town is a good area for better quality locals. any comments on this would be appreciated.

in phuket, bangla road is where the centre of 'action' is. we've been there 2 days in a row now. frankly i don't know if i can walk down that street again. i know i will since we got a whole other week, but i feel almost 'sick' after the last 2 days.

then again i don't like ladyboys with feminization surgery, which there is plenty of. i suppose there's a market responsible for the supply, and by the look of some white dudes working their way through those crowds they keep a few customers happy.

in the last 2 days i've seen a couple of decent thai chicks but probably 50% of them are non-pros and the remaining 50% of pros are still a notch below what i see in bkk. i can't compare to pattaya because i didn't go (and regret not going while i was in bkk). especially after seeing the slim pickings here.

clubs and pros

day 1, we stuck to hitting the clubs. the 4 main ones are tiger, banana, hollywood and taipan. all have fls / pros but not exclusively so.

all the main clubs are on/off bangla. tiger and hollywood are right on it mid way through. the other 2 ones mentioned a few times, taipan and banana, are on opposite ends. there are also plenty of go-go soi lanes just spawning off bangla but lacked highly in quality women, at least from a few walks up and down. it was just annoying with the number of stupid girls who need to go back to sales school to realise shouting or grabbing prospects is not the way to sell.

speaking of selling, there are alot of touts also, even more aggressive than walking around nana or soi cowboy imo. to wit we also witness the usage of the 'f' word to a large degree, at least much more frequently than in bkk outside the bedroom.

there are plenty of prev reports on the 4 clubs mentioned above. of them, i think i liked hollywood the most. the number of hotter girls in there were higher. banana had the most number of hot white tourist chicks when we went. but i am not sure if all are pros / fls. definitely get alot of looks of 'interest'. but i get quoted at least 2k. tiger is ok also.

day 1 exploration

we spent most of the day catching up on sleep. by evening we explored bangla.

there were too many ladyboys that put me off approaching at all. but i did spot a hot number working just outside the ice bar. i spoke to her. she wanted 3k for takeout but said she doesn't do it much so seemed a bit confused. but 3k for st? pah. she also didn't finish work till 1am so we wandered around.

we got hassled alot walking down the street. mostly by ladyboys. a white tourist female was shouting at a tout. boyfriend tried pulling her away but she started using the 'f' word on him. she was drunk but seirously i didn't see anything like this in bkk so it was a bit of a shock.

walked by a massage place. cute girl there, asked her price she quoted 2k for st but said i had to pay the massage place separately, 500 was her price. she wasn't the hottest girl i saw, so i left.

we went to hollywood and tiger. both places had a large selection but most in my books were 6s and 7s. compared to bkk the quality of girls totally suck. taipan was even worse. in fact it was so bad that i pretty much thought of giving up mongering here.

so today we decide to try working the freebies. there were alot of somewhat attractive young white girls we spotted. but most were with boyfriends or in groups.

i approached 2 italian/germans in a club called 'pirates' just mid way through. had drinks with them. they were cool but after a while we started losing interest as they were boring as hell.

walked back into hollywood but by this time someone who isn't me had some substance that was not alcohol and we were just enjoying ourselves. i did notice the massage chick who quoted me 2k for 1 pop previously is now here. there were some other talents. i grabbed the hottest looking one but she was not a pro. go figure.

day 2 approaching hot tourist chicks

the quality and quantity of hot white tourists did seem to go up today. and so i focused more on approaching and working from the freebie angle.

i must say it's been a total *****. here's a bit of a breakdown of a few approaches i made.

approach 1- on our motorbikes heading out of town. saw 2 totally hot blondes. appraoched them on my motorbike. they were from finland. chatted for 5 minutes, but didn't get anywhere. won't close out, said maybe see us around.

approach 2- a couple of cute scandanavian girls from sweden. this was promising but their bodies are so so (but stunning faces). something i do notice about teh scandanavians - great faces shitty bodies with elephant legs. in fact maybe i'm getting the thai touch now and losing touch with reality on what is a 'fat chick'.

anyway the cuter one wants to do diving course with me so got their number and said we'd stay in touch. but probably won't touch unless i start getting even more desperate

approach 3 - 2 norwegian girls. one was smoking hot and was getting stared down the street. so i walked right up and worked my game. they were staying at the holiday inn. we walked back with them and talked on the way. her friend gave me her number to meet for dinner. we texted but it started pouring rain so we got soaked and delayed meet up. they were heading diving next day so wanted an early night. we were going to meet for drinks but got there 15 minutes late and she texted and said she was there but left to bed. said maybe see us in a day or 2. but from my experience of scandanavian chicks, unless i want to start blowing $ on the vodka i am not sure if this is going to close out.

approach 4- three australian birds at the very farang bar just under hollywood. they were totally up for it. i walked up and said very directly i wanted to talk to one of them. one girl said 'you want to talk to which one of us' with a smile and when i pointed at her friend she looked disappointed. she was eyeing me a bit earlier so i guess she wanted it to be her. but on closer look i fucked up as she was actually the hottest of the group, as the firend was actually a bit older. it also was her birthday so i guess she would be up for some fun.

but then we got distracted - saw 2 of the hottest girls. 2 blonde, slim, super hot babes. to me it was obviously 2 russian girls pimped up looking smoking hot. my friend though they were pros but i sort of figured they weren't. guys were falling off and tripping just staring at these 2 girls. but most were being idiots like walking up offering to take pics for them but not working them at all. losers.

so as soon as i saw them i literally flew out of the bar and followed them down the road. they headed to banana. i called my friend and he came along. i walked right in .guys left and right were staring at them but i wasted no time, and just went right up and worked them. at first they were pretty cold but i know the russian game, so i stuck in there fora bit. well one girl was still a bit bitchy but the taller blondie opened up as soon as i spoke to her in russian. but my limited linguistic skills outside the bedroom meant that was cut short to a 10 min interaction. said maybe we'd talk later. we saw a bunch of other guys walk up to them. most got rejected right away, a couple of russian guys managed to stay talking for a bit longer but in the end they also got booted. man i would have really loved to tap either of those asses here... would have totally made the trip worth it.

anyway they left alone.

approach 6- a group of 3 other russian birds walked into banana. 1 was particularly hot, dressed to fuck but was approached by already 4-5 guys by the time i went up to her. she blew the rest out. when i spoke to her she was friendly but not flirty. something i'm noticing alot here which i'm not very used to. she gave me her number but it wasn't going anywhere. so i was polite and gave her a number i never use. if it wasn't going to go to boom boom town that night i think in this fickle town it was unlikely to get anywhere.

so anyway alot of effort but little result so far. but i guess it's only been 2 days. i could pay and fuck a 7/8 chick but i'm a bit spoiled by quality i've witnessed in bkk.

i must say the scene here is a bit disappointing. the pattern i noticed is that alot of people hassle tourists so they naturaly shut off. especially the girls. and i think the lack of supply in the mongering scene makes the tourists a bit more desperate. so they go for the tourist girls and they just get approached so much they shut down. sucks totally. one girl on bangla walked towards us, smiled at me, so i smiled back but just as i was about to open my mouth she throws water at us. it didn't really get me wet or anything but the way she did it was reflectful of how 'spiteful' she must have been by the time we saw her, probably by a bunch of idiots asking her how much she costs or whatever. i could be asking for directions. she was lucky i didn't slap her in the face or retaliated by pouring beer over her (because i would never hit a woman unless she asks). it was totally uncalled for even if others were rude to her.

but yeah little snippets like that really have shocked me a bit. it's a totally different scene to bkk. totally different ball game. also alot more couples than i expected so pickings of freebies is also somewhat slim.

so pros can be had but i think i'm going to stick to the other kind of diving, unless miracles fall into my lap....

anyway i'd love for more juice on phuket town or more reliable places with young girls that look 9/10. for that, i don't mind paying 2k/3k.

DC, Patong is alittle different than Bangkok or Pattaya, but the results can be great - it just might take alittle more work. The biggest FL spots are at the discos for those wanting to avoid barfines. Each has their time slot for maximum FL availability. Taipan from 9-11pm, Tiger and Hollywood from 12-2am, Safari for 3-5am. My favs are Tiger and Hollywood. Don't worry you don't have to dance because it's all P2P. Additional talent is usually found directly outside of Tiger and Hollywood if you hate discos. Taipan FL's are more "mature" while Tiger and Hollywood cater to a younger crowd (except for old guys like me).
