Posts: 375One hotel that is NOT girl friendly is the Baan Sukothai on Bangla Road, I tried to book there from the Airport and they said I would have to pay 1000 baht a night joiner fee even if the room was booked for two people----we should all boycot these hotels and they may have to think again.

Posts: 32[QUOTE=SE Asia Joe]Just back from nice little sojourn in Phuket and discovered it is now even better!
Seems like the girls are easier/mellower/more available/wider selection than before. Its definitely easier to get a very nice girl these days.
There are decent hotels at Surin/Bang Tao and this is the area I usually stay at as I find it very convenient and a very nice balance between the "sunny tropical paradise Phuket" during the day and just a short distance away from Patong at night. Personally I feel that the sort of "sex in the face all day" experience in Patong is just a bit too much for me.
Well said! Phuket is definitely quite fine right now! The Sheraton Laguna is charging just $40 per room, down from $200 + last year! And the girls are very mellow, and hungry for paying customers!
I too like to stay outside Patong, just go in and grab a partner for the night, send her back next day by Tuk tuk.
In travelling around, I stopped often in Kamala, between Patong and Bangtao. Last year it was great, with over 20 bars and a great selection of girls. Those girls seem to have a much less pushy attitude, and are friendlier that their Patong sisters. It got hit very hard by the tsunami, and is still rebuilding, so many of the bars I used to frequentare still in ruins or boarded up. However, there are a suprising number of interesting bars opening. Most have a small selection, but the quality tends to be fairly high.
3 bars have finally reopened on the beach road, with a small selection of lookers, but the major suprise was on the main road. At the south end, Mountain View bar had 6-8 girls of which 3 would do just fine (beware the 2 katoeys!). The middle of the strip had 3 bars on the east side, 2 on the west with again from 3 to 6 lookers in each.
At the north end, the Crazy bar had 15 girls, of which 8-10 were very presentable!
As the quantity is small, every time I went back I saw approx the same number, but the girls were different, depending on who had been barfined that day!
All in all, a very pleasant and much more relaxed alternative to the arm pulling opprtunities in Patong, good for an occasional break from routine. (though I suspect I would be rapidly bored if that was all that was on offer on the island!)

As far as hotels are concerned - BOY - what a selection! I heard that the occupancy rate in Phuket during this low season AFTER the tsunami is approximately 10% only - and as a result, the rates are great!
I would suggest that the best way to enjoy Phuket would be to rent a car straight away at the airport. As soon as you get out of the airport, there will be several car rental guys with placards selling their agency. I've rented from David Car rental a few times and been very satisfied - i.e. Bht 1,000 average for a nice little air conditioned/Automatic Transmission/newer car/jeeps/older cars at even lower price - inclusive of insurance and no mileage charge.
Take the car and explore Phuket at your leisure whilst pricing various hotel choices - from those luxury ones at Laguna (but where I heard that now they've got rooms starting at US$40), to the literal flop houses close by Patong.

Personally I feel that the sort of "sex in the face all day" experience in Patong is just a bit too much for me. Also, this area seems to be where the "stay put/established" expatriates of Phuket stay at. Some rich guy from Hong Kong known as Mr Lan Kwai fong has his multi million $$ house there and it's suppossed to only be slightly smaller than the largest house in Thailand owned by the King. He also have his high class shopping/eating center there. It's close to Laguna, not sleazy at all, and I guess right in the middle between/equidistance to the airport, the night life area of Patong, the Lotus super center, the International school, the Yacht basin.... and has very nice beaches close by. Fact is, I'm thinking of buying a place right around here and have spotted what seems to be a very high class development close by Bang Tao beach selling their 2 bedroom apartments for Bht 4.8 million. A good deal seeing as prices have not come down that much in Phuket even after the Tsunami. We''ll see!
After I've settled in my hotel, I usually then either hit the beaches or go down to Christin's massage during the day - Bht 1,800 - 2,200 for a nice soapy massage and FS - just slightly below the standard in Bangkok but still very acceptable. And yeah, I know you guys are gonna flame me for 'overpaying" BUT that IS the going price at this place and YES I do know that I can get great girls either for ST or LT anywhere from Bht 800 upwards - but hey what the hell - its all laid out properly at this Christin's!
Night time - well, so many nice cheap restaurants and so many great bars all along Patong at the different Sois! One can't help but have a good time in Phuket and I would encourage more of you to head down there and help out these people who are trying to rebuild Phuket. So Y'all come down there OK?

I second that for the www.tharapatong.com. The pool rooms are great for night time action. Hit a vendor for some string bikini's at 500-750 baht. Pick you favorite size and just remember the strings are the quick release. I recmmend rooms 1152- 1157 for night action as they arein the darker section of the pool. You might remmind your neighbors to turn off their balcony lites at night as they tend to draw mosquitos!
The new res person is K. Apai info@tharapatongcom with a ref to that name. Menion no joiner fee for night guests. No Problem. Check out the stayu 4 pay three deal of thses days. 10 min from Bangla but quiet at night, best of both worlds.

Holiday inn is not very girl friendly. Even Busakorn not, even if you pay dearly.
You come with a girl first time, they will make a big fuss, call you in the reception room, argue and at the end - if you do not feel too embarrassed about it - they will give you an exeptional agreement that you are allowed one time!
No good for mongering, but otherwise a great hotel.
Try Tara Patong, still OK, girl friendly if you ask them via mail and has nice pool access rooms for reasonable rates.
Good Luck,
Mike

Other than that, try the remains of Soi Sea Pearl (Soi Sai Nam Yen near the beach, north side), which occasionally has a few cuties show up for afternoon shift.
Or, you can head over the hill into Phuket Town and try the "delights" of the Siam Hotel!!
If you find any others. let us know!

You do not need an escort agency anywhere in Thailand. All you need to do is show up.

Posts: 281Just wondering whether the Holiday Inn on Patong beach is/was girl friendly? I stayed there but never took a girl back. I was in the Busakorn wing (the better part) if that makes a difference.
Thanks

Member 3076,
Normally hotels in Phuket-Patong charge a small fee ranging from Bht300 - 500 (sometimes more depending on how many star) if you bring the girls up to your room.
FlyJets,
Ecellent decision bro. Phuket is paradise and I will be flying there as well later this year.
Cheers,

My first visit to Phuket. I was just wondering if you ahve any suggestions / contact details of any real good Escort agencies in Phuket? Travelling there on 9 May.
Also does anyone know if Phuket aracadia Hilton is girl friendly?
With so many girls in Phuket right now, I do not understand why anyone would want an expensive escort service. You end up paying many times the going rate for the same girl (well, maybe a little better English, but not enough to discuss world politics with!!) in a more elegant dress. The agency pockets the difference. Just go to one of the discos, speak out at what you like and you'll be very satisfied.
Last I heard from Phuket Hilton was that it was not girl friendly, you get met by staff at all the entrances/shuttle bus stops, though that info is a few years old.
Good luck.

WEE ZEL,
Thank you for your post. That is the best idea; try Phuket if we do not like it we head out to another city. I really wanted to return to Phuket and just needed a little push. I want to help them back into line and give other people the opportunity to explore and enjoy the delights of Phuket. I regularly stay outside of Patong however, this trip I might stay at Club Bamboo in Patong. Anyone heard of this and or recommend the property. Finally, my last question!@#%%^&. Is the Banana Disco open for business?
Thanks again,
Peace out.
