I had to make a quck trip out and the back into Thailand. As they changed the test and go rules and decided to enter through Phuket.

Thai Pass.

It is best to go to their website to look at the requirments rather than summing it again here.

One point though, In phuket you must book your 2 x PCR tests through another website, the link is on the Thaipass site. I believe in other provinces the hotel did this for you, not in Phuket. You go to the website and select the location you want to go to for your second swab and pay around 4200 for the first and second tests.

The current Phuket Process.

You fly into Phuket Airport and on arrival they place you on rows of chairs, not very distanced. I note some staff and passengers had their masks under their noses. The airport staff come up and check you documents, then you wait until you go to another counter that looks at them again. Then you go immigration to present passport and get your stamp etc.

When you pass through immigration you grab your bags and then join the que to exit the airport. At the airport doors they will direct you to a booth to get you your PCR specimen kit. Then you go to another booth that swaps nose etc. Then you pass to another area that puts you in transport.

Perfect update, completely correct.

At this point those are the rules still in place.

And despite high covid numbers here on the ground, there is no tall of changing the entry rules, or adding extra restrictions.

The only recent changes have been to the opening of places allowed to sell alcohol, and restrictions on its sale to now just 9 pm at night.

I expect to see the greater enforcement of this that is occurring around Bangla to continue, maybe even intensify.

I am planning to fly to Phuket under the Sandbox program in March.

If cases drop just as fast as they have risen, you may find that the 1 day Test and Go schemes get reinstated sometime in March or April.

Unless you absolutely need to get into Thailand for a specific date you could hold off for the moment and wait and see what developes as your intended dates get closer.

Your transportation is organised by your hotel. An attendant reads your hotel booking then directs you to the vehicle. I noticed some people were getting into minivans. Some people were directed to specific taxis either alone or shared with another person. You can book through the hotel whatever transport you want.

On arrival to hotel, it is normal check in and they take you to the room and ask you to stay there until PCR results. I arrived at night and had a leaflet with generic Q code from Airport. You can check your results anytime through the Q code, just enter passport number and nationality from memory.

I woke up in morning 12 hours after arrival and check the Q code. It was negative. I also noticed an email from them with the official letter. I forwared the email to the hotel by replying to my booking email. Went down to reception, they found the email and from that point on nobody really noticed or cared what I did. It was just like a normal hotel stay from that point on. Completely free of any further restrictions.

One final point. Lots of the big 4 or 5 star hotels are not guest friendly. Not like Bangkok where they pretty much all are. The hotel I stayed in was not guest friendly. You can discretely get a girl in of course, she just had to be nicely dressed and you walk in confidently through the lobby chatting away as if you are a long term couple.

If you drag a cheap looking hooker in from Bangla, late at night the hotel will probably stop you and either deny it or charge a fee.

I came through the Sandbox in August. Clearly the rules have changed many times since then, and at this point they're changing day by day. That said, the hardest part of making entry is getting on the plane. That is, getting past the check-in counter at your departure point. Check with your particular airline before hand. Once you're feet on the ground in the Phuket airport, the immigration folks practically drag you into the country.

I'm sure you've already read the various Thai government websites but I suggest you also directly contact your preferred hotel and ask questions of their reservation people.

I'd pass on the various government websites and go directly to your local embassy / consulate's website. Not only do the rules change day by day, but their interpretation varies from consulate to consulate. Your local consulate issues the visa (or 'pass' or whatever they're doing today), and it's their particular interpretation of the rules you have to meet.

I got burned on this one making just that assumption. I also thought I was a smart monkey not changing money in the airport for a little local cash. Not ripping off this newb tourist with those airport rates, no siree! LOL at me. Stuck in the airport parking lot with neither local cash nor a reserved SHA taxi. Fortunately the locals only gently raped me, and I eventually managed to get to the hotel. Bottom line: HorseTrader's advice is spot on on this one. Contact the hotel desk and ask / confirm everything. I didn't. (And suck up the only slightly shitty exchange rate in the airport so you have a little local cash in pocket just in case.).

Am I also correct in understanding that after 7 days in Phuket, I am free to travel to other destinations eg. BKK in Thailand?

That's my understanding of the *current* rules. The covid numbers are ramping up at the moment, and it's anyone's guess how the government will respond. They've put domestic travel restrictions in place before, they could do it again. Enforcement however, was really spotty the last time around. Flying was a total no-go, but you could drive / take a taxi to BKK if you really wanted to. They declared the provincial borders closed, but there wasn't anyone there to stop you.

Speaking of spotty enforcement, once you're checked in to the hotel and the airport test results are back (6-8 hours now I think) the whole 'quarantine' thing is overwrought. I could have staggered in at 6 in the morning, scanned my QR code with the front desk lady, and staggered right back out and it would have been no problem, 'friend' leaves her ID at the desk and no problem, etc. Clearly this will vary from hotel to hotel, but the rules as written and the rules as applied are two different things. Application can be pretty lax around here.

In summary, best sources of info are:

1) Your nearest Thai Embassy / Consulate.

2) Your airline.

3) Your hotel front desk.

I'm scheduled to travel to Phuket in about 2 weeks, though it is likely I will delay my trip for a couple of months for reasons of COVID. I'm sure you've already read the various Thai government websites but I suggest you also directly contact your preferred hotel and ask questions of their reservation people. They will have a standard email to send to you that explains the things that matter to you: (1) testing at HKT airport, (2) transportation from airport to hotel, (3) food for your first 24 hours, (4) how to get your second RT-PCR test, (5) what are links to make non-hotel arrangements. I recommend that you do not reserve through anything like Agoda.com or Hotels.com, you want direct contact with your hotel. Regarding bringing girls to your room, the hotels that I contacted do not allow that until after you get your arrival negative RT-PCR test result.

It is my understand that being triple vaxed, I can fly directly to Phuket from an approved country and stay in an approved hotel with COVID insurance etc. I assume that the approved hotel booking will collect me from the airport. I also understand that I must stay at the hotel and not leave for 24 hours or until I test negative, however if the test (not sure where that will be done) is negative, then I am free to leave the hotel for hobby purposes but must return each night.

Am I also correct in understanding that after 7 days in Phuket, I am free to travel to other destinations eg. BKK in Thailand?.

I'm looking to visit in 2 weeks for the first time since 2019. Is it possible to bring girls back to the hotel during the 7 days? How are things looking on Bangla Rd after the New Year? Has anyone been out and about this week?

Unless you're filming it, or taking her out and about as eye candy, then to me the looks don't count that much at all.

Give me any day a great personality, a good body, and OK looks that loves to fuck or submit, and I have all that I need.

I don't cheap Charlie it, or bargain hunt, I look for attraction, physical and mental, then check out our chemistry and sexual interests, when they match, its bingo, lets get it on.

Everyone has different preferences, likes, wants and fantasies. Probably determined by our activities when we were growing up.

There was a famous TV envangelist Jimmy Swaggart that was caught a few times with cheap, nasty $10 hoes that he used to pick up off the street. Despite being worth hundreds of millions he used to get off on the cheapest, nastiest hoes around that were literally $10 to $20. I could never understand this.

During my stay in Patong last November I used to give 2000 for LT, and the girls always wanted to come back (but it was before the peak season, and Phuket was still very quiet at that time).

One lady was a nice MILF in her late thirties in Bangla, slim and nice body, no baby, just face very average.

Never had to discuss the price.

I don't go to Bars, but most Online girls quoted me about the same:

1. 2 1. 5 K for 1 hour - 1 shot.

2 K for 2 hours - 1-2 shots.

3 K for 4 hours. Unlimited shots.

6 K for full day / night. Unlimited shots.

No girl asked me to pay for their travel, most will use GRAB.

Some are more and some are less, it's all depending on you.

I don't like girls coming to my condo so I always ask them to host. Majority have no issue about you going to their place (some have non-air-conditioned rooms and some have pretty nice trendy condos).

Some will charge more, some less, we all have different expectations and different disposable incomes. At the end it's about you getting what you want.

It really upsets me too when I can't buy caviar for the same price of salmon roe eggs.

When I first came to BKK app 10 years ago I paid a 9/10 6k a day for LT. I overpaid a little or not but she was worth it for 3 days. I fucked her 3-4 times a day. My cost averaged out. Had a great time. She was new to BKK massage place, pretty shy, 21 years old. Not harden. She was worth it.

People please save your opinions bc I dont care.
